We had a surprising amount of fun at Pirate's Cove! We went in the off-season, and it still had its dedicated golfers, but there's so much greenery and separation between holes that we never felt crowded. The pirate facts at each hole were fun (though occasionally grammatically incorrect) and there were a surprising number of great photo spots! Several waterfalls created lovely backdrops and peaceful sounds. The course was well-maintained other than quite a few fallen leaves, and while the 'pirates' are definitely showing their age, they were fun. There were plenty of putters of all sizes, as well as a nice selection of ball colors for large groups. There were no flashing lights, and our slightly-sensory kiddo only struggled a little with the cave hole, which she said was too loud. We did the easy course (there are two) which was just the right amount of challenge, though we let the 9-year-old set off slightly on the harder ones. We even had a fun surprise with a hole where we thought we lost a ball in the water, but it turned out to be part of the course! Definitely recommend as a relaxing, family-friendly course. Be aware it is NOT for those who have difficulty walking, as there are several stairs, and some are short and uneven. The bathrooms were clean and thematically decorated.

This place is severely unsafe for toddlers. We and the group behind us, who also had a toddler, were horrified by the open water access, and paths next to waterways without secure fencing other than ropes having a 6-8” gap at the bottom that a toddler could easily fall through. At the entry we asked which course was best for a toddler. Employee, Kaylee, told us the Captain’s course was best. We carried our 2 year old while our other kids played the course. At the end we appropriately confronted her and she smirked, smiled and laughed and as we walked away she said aloud, they’re psycho. Avoid this place. It is unsafe and uncaring. Maybe they will start to care and make appropriate safety improvements after some family loses a child.

My wife and I love mini golf. Any time we travel we always play the local golf courses. For my money, Pirate’s Cove is simply the best mini golf there is. They have two 18-hole courses. One is slightly more difficult that the other, but not by much. It’s a lot like a regular golf course, just miniature. There’s a bit of a twist on most holes but it doesn’t feel kitschy or gimmicky. Course is always well maintained. Price is on the higher end of mini golf courses, but you get what you pay for. Plus discounts for playing the second 18 holes on the same day. And holes in 1 get you a chance at free games! Love Pirate’s Cove.

The lady who runs it is extremely friendly and also gave me some awesome Insider tips about hidden gems throughout the Lake of the Ozarks. The course is a blast. We had two adults and a four-year-old and did the easy course and he loved it so much that he was crying because we were done and it was time to leave. We went end of the offseason/ very beginning summer season and it was not crowded and there was no wait. Also you can tell they maintain the place you around because all the attractions were in great condition. Also the bathrooms were very clean. I definitely would recommend it to anyone visiting the Lake and also the locals....
