We stopped by to get out of the rain and enjoyed an hour of well presented, very interesting information about children in Steele County! The exhibit is so well designed and there was a lot to read. I would like to return with my family so they can learn from it as well!

(kudos to Mary Ann who wasn’t there that day!). The line up of events has something for all ages and some truly unique offerings—like the History Uncorked featuring mock trials from the past. Outstanding newsletter as well! Because it was off season many of their displays and were not open but the Music exhibit was great! Loved the saddle for the traveling music teacher. Kellen directed us to two other Owatonna “don’t miss” places: the Louis Sullivan designed bank building from 1908 and Costas Candy across the street from the bank. Lots to see and do in Owatonna but I suggest you start with the Steele...

I am in regular contact with libraries and historical societies across the country and must say that the person I dealt with was one of the least cooperative and unpleasant that I have been in contact with. I will not renew membership and will...

Lots of information excellently exhibited and a rural school setting where you could answer questions on a chalkboard that was electronically operated. Very clever! There was chicken soup, which was excellent and cookies to decorate, crafts to do. All were donations accepted....
