What a great museum! Jean, Kellen and Dan were so welcoming and a wealth of information and ideas. I was amazed to find they have program or events every week. (kudos to Mary Ann who wasn’t there that day!). The line up of events has something for all ages and some truly unique offerings—like the History Uncorked featuring mock trials from the past. Outstanding newsletter as well! Because it was off season many of their displays and were not open but the Music exhibit was great! Loved the saddle for the traveling music teacher. Kellen directed us to two other Owatonna “don’t miss” places: the Louis Sullivan designed bank building from 1908 and Costas Candy across the street from the bank. Lots of information excellently exhibited and a rural school setting where you could answer questions on a chalkboard that was electronically operated. Very clever! There was chicken soup, which was excellent and cookies to decorate, crafts to do. All were donations accepted....
