Due to our recent move to the area, I found it necessary to downsize my number of blankets and comforters. I went into Goodwill and asked if they took donations there. The cashier told me to just drive around to the back and someone would help me. These blankets weren't new but they were completely usable. The attendant told me that they wouldn't be able to take them if they had been washed a lot, had any stains, or pretty much didn't look new. She said they had "standards" they had to follow. She suggested Lee Conlee Thrift Store, which I tried first but they were closed for the holidays. So I thought I'd try Goodwill as I'd done before. But I guess Goodwill doesn't believe homeless people deserve a blanket. She said they don't even have a homeless shelter in Palatka. So I asked her if she minded me using her dumpster. She ended up taking them when I said that but I'm pretty sure they ended up there after I left. That...
Read moreI was in your store today and your cashier at 4 pm was rude and apparently I needed to be humiliated by taking one of my purchases, a pair of sperry leather shoes they were marked 7.99 not one tag but 2 tags I was actually excited about those. I then got explained to me that’s not the price of those and people switch tags all the time , oh my what a humiliating experience I thought these stores were out to help people. I will drive to deland where the employees are a bit more thankful that I’m coming in their store to spend my hard earned $ . Bought a pair of bobs ( name brand also 7.99) and your crabby cashier just wanted to argue . Whoever she was assuming switched those tags or mispriced them is not my responsibility nor do I believe it’s ok to humiliate me because of...
Read moreI’m extremely disappointed by the workers in this store!!! Very unorganized and not to mention extremely judgmental and discriminatory. Completely clueless as to what their perception of the way children should look. Accusing and humiliating customers claiming they are changing prices on items that are placed on floor for sale.
C’mon Goodwill. Your items are donated and the workers are only to make sure customers leave with a good feeling that they saved a buck, not accuse or demean the people who work hard for their money and only want to save!! I will be sending this message hoping that the store sees and does what ever training is necessary for their staff to ensure that the public’s experience in this store is a little more professional then the way it’s...
