Sonic Drive-In — Restaurant in Palatka

Stay clear away from this cesspool.

Before I get into my review, let me set the scene for you. 8:55 PM on a Friday night. 4 to 6 workers. no one in drive-thru waiting to be served maybe 6 cars there total.

We get there (6 people in 2 cars) and slide into the stall's. Push the button and wait about 10 to 15 minutes to no one taking our order. We decide that maybe we would get faster service if we went through the drive-thru that only had one car in it.

Our friends go there first and it's taking a legit 10+ minutes to place an order for 4 milkshakes and a tot. I can hear the worker being short and unfriendly....boy, was I excited for our turn.

We get there and sure enough, she was an unruly, smug employee who had the customer service skills of a grape.

She indeed was rude, seemed annoyed and flat-out dull. We ordered 2 shakes and a tot.

We pull up behind our friends to get our food.....we waited...and waited....and waited....and then waited some more.

(While we were waiting we looked inside at the employees of Sonic and they were just standing there, or on their phones with corn dog sticks in their mouth and dish towel wrapped around their head.)

Even when they brought food out, they were just slowly walking back into the building...texting.....

I bet they sent more texts per hour then they did food per hour.

While waiting at least 15-20 minutes the growing number of cars behind us filled the drive-thru area.

At this point ONLY ONE BAG of food was seen being delivered to a vehicle in a 20 minute span.

Two cars behind us finally left.

We decided to follow suit as well.

This place is trash.

Absolute vile, trash.

We went to DQ and they had about the same employees but were 10-times busier.

We were in and out in 10 minutes.

I don't blame the co-workers for being useless, I blame the managers and district managers that actually take zero pride in creating a...

Terrible place , I arrived at the Palatka Sonic at 1:37, pulled in to the parking slot #13 and ordered a chicken sandwich and a small cookie dough blast. 5 different employees were walking in and out of the door and not delivering food the entire time I was there. 2 cars were in additional parking slots awaiting food as well. 20 minutes later at 1:57 I pushed the red button again to ask about my very small order, a female came on the speaker and ask what I'd like to order. I kindly informed the lady that I had ordered 20 minutes earlier and had not received anything. The lady ask me what my order was, I repeated my order of a chicken sandwich and a small blast, she came back on and ask me again about my order so I repeated it again. The lady came back on the speaker and said it would be a few more minutes. I informed the lady to cancel the order due to the amount of time that had been wasted on waiting for nothing and left. I had frequented this Sonic in the past but never again. No explanation or apology was ever offered. Sonic has an issue with personnel being inexperienced, unapologetic and very rude. My advice to everyone is to find a better fast food restaurant, one that appreciates your business...

By farther worst Sonic ever! Waited over 30 minutes to receive food that was cold and missing parts. Also dirtiest (and this includes the employees slouching around, in dirty clothes and hair.) Trash everywhere, obviously no pride in their business. I love Sonic, and have been to this location many times. I've watched it go downhill over the last year. Today was the end fir me. Cold food, missing part of the order. We threw it all away as inedible. Did our due diligence and called their corporate number. After verification of our issues, we asked only for a refund of our wasted money. He refused and suggested we take our receipt back to sonic for food replacement. Not only do I not want any more sonic food, but it's located over a half hour from our home. I go to my doctor every 6 monthes and always looked forward to sonic after my appt. I guess what I took from this is that my business is not important to sonic and their corporate guys. So if you're in palatka, FL and feel hungry, don't waste your time or money at this sonic.
