Bralys Ace Hardware — Attraction in Palestine

I was greeted at the door by a friendly associate that asked how they could help me. As I walked to the opposite side of the building it became apparent that someone took much care and passion to maintain the integrity of the old school house that was now Braly's. The store was beautiful inside. Each of the school rooms was converted to a different department. There was even a room with outdoor products including hunting and fishing gear. This place had a cool factor that was through the roof. I'd been to Lowe's and WalMart looking to have some keys made. They didn't have the blanks I needed. Braly's did. On an old manual key cutter, the associate carefully cut my keys. I noticed that the key station still had the old tile wall that may have been a restroom. I wanted to take it all in but I couldn't stay long. From original wood floor to the 20' ceiling, I could feel the history of the old school. Every employee I came in contact with was friendly and seemed to be genuinely happy to be working there. Braly's is a gem. I can't wait to go back and soak in as much as possible. The people at Bralys are super super nice. I needed to fix a sprinkler head this morning and halfway into the repair, discovered I needed another pvc fitting. I have prostate cancer, severe restrictive lung disease and an aneurism which causes me to have fatigue pretty quickly. I walked almost to the plumbing section and had to sit down on a box to catch my breath. One employee, a black man, asked me what I needed and offered to go get it and bring it to me. Never one to give up, I told him I appreciated his help but I could walk back there. He secured a chair, had me sit in front of a fan and brought me the exact pvc fittings I needed. You just don’t get help like that at any other establishment. Bralys is always my first choice for lawn, garden, plumbing and hardware. Thank you Bralys. I supposedly charged two items on 8/17/24. I never received a statement until I got one dated 4/25/25, 8 months later. I always pay cash or credit at Bralys.I called Steven we discussed this and he said he'd get back to me. Since he didn't, I assumed it was reconciled. Then I got another statement saying " This bill is extremely past due. Please pay now" I called and talked to a lady about this. She said they had been sending statements every month.
