We were on a large group (50 or more). We were greeted and served as fast as you could expect for a large group. I had the 9.00 burrito. X2. One for "to go". I ate half of mine then took the other half to go. They were big, filling, and tasty. I had the frigita beef with all the fixings. 9.00 seems like a lot. But since it made 4 meals, 4.50 each was reasonable. I would go there again. My jeep club swarmed the place. I think we called ahead. I sawno other patrons other then put group. Fun times.

Best food in this town. Real authentic Mexican food. The corn tortillas are thick and hold up like flour. Very affordable, you can get $2 tacos and breakfast burritos. I recommend San Luis hands down over anyone else in town. If you want real Mexican food not that corporate pretend Mexican food and not Tex-Mex which is nothing like the cuisine of Mexico. If you've never had real Mexican try it. It's simple food with amazing flavor. They don't put 50 ingredients in the food and use all fresh natural ingredients. Huge difference. Taco Bell is dog food compared to San Luis. Si nunca has tenido un verdadero mexicano, inténtalo. Es comida sencilla con sabor increíble. No ponen 50 ingredientes en la comida y usan todos los ingredientes naturales frescos. Gran diferencia. Taco Bell es comida para perros en comparación con San Luis.

Great place for awesome tasting tacos! Love the vibe and the service there, the waitresses are really nice and the food is amazing as well! First time I had cactus taco and it was great. The tacos are reasonably priced and taste really good, so definitely a must for lunch or dinner!

Came in for breakfast on Saturday (mid-morn) one of the few times got to sleep late. We were told by several folks at The Redlands Hotel, this restaurant is the place by most locals for breakfast & lunch. This is first place I have ever been when you ask for a coke, they have 3 different bottled or can options. How many folks have seen a coke with the warning for sugar, calories and caffeine and not to give to kids! It was fantastic tasting not sure what the difference is for bottling between U.S. bottling and Mexico but yum-mo! We started with the spicy green egg’s taco (1) as this was highlighted on the menu and by the waitress. Its eggs scrambled with green Verde sauce, before you take a bite make sure you have something to drink it is spicy but very flavorful. My wife ordered the chilaquiles and she was very happy with it. She said the flavors were very good and she made a happy face on her plate. I ordered the chorizo with eggs both come with sides of refried beans and fantastic flavored poppas (fried taters). We both loved our food and enjoyed the staff. We were disappointed they did not serve chips and salsa while we waited plus, they are not open on Sunday, but that goes with a lot of the restaurants in Palestine. Closed on Sunday is the norm for most local businesses. But we...

Warning!! San Luis May be habit forming!!

Years ago when I first pulled up to that little blue trailer where they were making tacos I thought this place is sketchy. Turns out they were serving the best tacos and gorditas I had ever eaten..anywhere. Since then I have been a regular customer and I always give a little more than they charge. For me, the thought of them closing up shop like many other little businesses do in our town, was just not an option. These fine folks deserve every dollar and...
