We had an okay experience here. It started out and finished up a little awkward. There were twice as many people behind the counter as there were in the shop, and we had to go to the bar to ask where we could sit to try some of their wine. We did a tasting, and liked their Merlot the best. But it was crazy expensive to order by the glass and by the bottle! (Tip - as a sour beer lover, I was curious and tried the Sour Peach as one of my tasters. It tastes like a wet band aid smells, stick with their traditional wine.)
We purchased a bottle of another local winery's that they had for sale, and they opened it for us to sit and enjoy. We also had a snack, which was tasty, and when we tried to order some more food, we had a hard time getting someone's attention. (Which was weird, because there were so many employees floating around.) We finally got someone behind the counter to ask, who shook her head and mumbled something about "you'll have to ask her," before she grabbed her purse and came around to sit at the bar. By the time we were able to get service, we decided to close out.
It's a nice space that has potential, and they seem to have a lot of interesting evening activities (music, trivia, yoga, etc.). But it's...
Read moreThis winery still needs quite a bit of work. The tasting glasses were terribly dirty and two of my glasses had lipstick on them. Two wines tasted like vinegar so they have definitely been open for a while. There is zero descriptions of the wine on their wine list either. The handheld pos system doesn’t match the food menu. We ordered pizza and after 35 minutes it never came, and we were the only ones there. They told us that it never went through even though we got charged. Thankfully, we got a refund. Not a great first impression. We probably...
Read moreI had such a fun experience at Deroco Cellars for Mothers Day today! They did a wine and paint event that was so relaxing and fun. The environment that they have created brings such a sense of community - not only in events like this for Mother’s Day, but also having the opportunity to try several different wines from so many different wineries in Palisade and appreciate the accomplishments of local wineries. I definitely will be spending a lot of my...
