This repair shop takes your money even if they don't fix your phone! $109 and there's no way to prove they didn't do a damn thing. I took my phone apart and they LIED. No way they took this phone apart. It's a great scam business model. They should have had to show me the phone apart and the corrosion they claim was in there. Nope, they said they "put the phone back together". Why would they do that knowing the phone doesn't work. I'll tell you why. Because they didn't do anything! They let it sit in a box all day and called me to come get a phone they "resealed back up", and charge me $109 for doing nothing. Auto repair facilities will at least show you the bad parts if you request them too. Crooks they are, I bet they steal your data and sell it too. Crooked criminals. I did the damage taking it apart. Before I pulled the battery out it looked perfect. The glue seam was perfect. You be the judge, beware.
PS Read some of the 5 star reviews, seems to be a trend here. "Although they didn't fix my phone, they sold me a new one at a good price" lolol Maybe I'm too cynical
PSS Owner called me to justify and explain what happened. I do not accept his explanation and I still think CPR is a scam business. He "was going to offer" me a refund.....yeah going to. How about train your counter help to be honest, answer questions with substance and transparency. Take photos of the phone while it was opened and the tech working on it. Post the pic here on my review!!!! No, what I thought. Like I told your counter help, keep that $109 and choke on it. It's a payment on the lesson you taught me. Phone repair is a scam!!!!
PSSS What a load of hogwash. The tech knew the phone was water damaged because I TOLD HIM, I also TOLD HIM I charged it. If the counter help explained all the load of dodo you claim, I would have thrown the phone in the trash!!! All he did was mumble it would cost $109 to FIX it, and it would take all day. CPR is a scam business and is exactly why I wrote this review. I strayed away from MY policy of throw the phone away and buy a new one. $109 is cheap lesson to confirm phone repair shops are scams. It's funny how the owner is trying to spin this interaction to seem like they did everything they could. lolololol I needed honesty not scam me because I don't know anything about phones except to use it. Final statement to people wanting truthful review, here it is. Use this business at your risk. By the way, $109 to me is nothing, I spend that on lunch. I'm pissed because you scammed me and got away...
Read moreI hate to complain and almost never do, but I was really wronged by CPR. I’ve used this repair shop twice before with good results; HOWEVER, it does not negate the current situation. I dropped off my wife’s Motorola phone last week, because the screen and LCD were separating from the body of the phone, and my SquareTrade warranty was supposed to cover the repair. The store couldn’t fix it due parts being unavailable and thought SquareTrade was going to reimburse me for the price of the entire phone. When I picked up the phone, it was given to me in a bag with a “sanitized” card over the screen. When I got home and opened the bag, the screen protector was missing, and the screen was horribly scratched, warped, and had crimped-in damage in certain spots. Unlike most phones, it has a plastic screen which can be easily scratched or damaged. Because of this, we’ve always had a good screen protector on it from new. I immediately called CPR and spoke to Austin, the manager, who said he was the only one that worked on my phone. He denied that anyone there damaged the screen. I knew he wouldn’t admit it, but I am certain that someone there damaged the screen BADLY. I believe they didn’t treat the phone properly under the assumption that the warranty would just reimburse me for the entire phone price. Unfortunately, SquareTrade is having me mail the phone into their repair shop to fix. If they only fix the screen separation issue, I’ll get the damaged screen returned with the phone. On top of everything, I got charged a labor charge to get back my damaged phone. I am REALLY disappointed. because I liked this shop initially and now have to travel further to find another shop to work on android phones. FOLLOW-UP: I got your message to call the store, but there is no reason to do so. I called when I first noticed the damage. I just wanted to know how or why it was damaged and be reassured that if SquareTrade didn't replace my phone, it would be fixed by CPR. A phone call now will not change that. Luckily, SquareTrade replaced the entire top of the phone with a new screen. Unfortunately, I can't trust CPR for any future repairs. The techs and Austin (manager) seemed very nice and professional, but actions speak...
Read moreI went in to get a gaming computer. I saw the 4.9 stars on Google and thought I’d give them a shot.
I went in with a $1000 (which I called about the day before), and most of their comps were around $2000. So after communicating that with the rep helping me, he offered to give me the better processor, and take $200 off for me (which I later found was the cash discount). I was pushed into financing (which I thought was just the norm for them), I got approved for $2000 and we settled on the comp I wanted plus the upgraded part and the $200 cash discount. Total ended up being a little over $1600 after taxes. Still not close to my $1000 budget I went in with lol
The rep was incredibly helpful and super nice.
The only thing I didn’t like was how I felt pushed into something (price of comp and financing).
Fast forward a few weeks, I was looking into the return policy because I just had a surgery that I owe $3500 for and I don’t use the comp like I thought I would. I couldn’t find anything online, so I had a friend call to see what the policy was, and she was told that since I financed, there was no returns. So, I assumed that had I paid cash (which was never offered as an option), I would have been able to return it with some sort of penalty.
The rep that helped me found me on fb, after I posted a negative review, to inform me that the return policy is the same no matter how you purchase a product from them and asked me to modify my review because they take their customer feedback seriously. I don’t believe in putting misinformation out there, so I agreed to adjust my review according to my FULL EXPERIENCE.
Overall, I highly recommend CPR Cell Phone repair! Just be sure about the product you are getting as they do not...
