Just purchased a new Queen size guest bedrum set and decided to return to Mattress Firm Cobble Stone Palm Coast to purchase the mattress and box spring. Had previously purchased a Tempur Pedic mattress from them and found their service to be excellent and had given them five stars on a different review. Trying to support local business we returned instead of buying from furniture store where we purchased the bedroom set. Greeted by a very nice sales person as we were last time and in five minuets we had chosen a mattress and box spring for the new bed. Feeling very good that we chose the right place to spend our money again. Our purchase went down hill first with the salesman telling us about the warranty and he suggested a mattress cover at an additional cost because any stains would void the warranty. Wife mentioned it was "thrown In " with last purchase but in all fairness last purchase was four times more than this mattress and box spring. Sit down to pay and here's where the wheels came off the wagon. While setting up delivery date wife suggested delivery the day after bedroom set being delivered so they can put the box spring and mattress on the new bed for us. I'm informed delivery is to the front door and to carry it into the bedroom was $99.00 additional fee. We live in a ranch home no stairs just walk it in and place it on the bed. This for me is a deal breaker and personally I'm insulted at being Nickle & Dimed and I am feeling like I'm flying a discount airline where everything is an upsell I get up to leave. As I get up because I'm not paying for them to carry it into the house twenty feet the salesman sees he just lost the sale so he says "Maybe I can work something out", not what I wanted to hear at this point. When we had come into the store he was sitting with a man who he referred to as the regional manager. I stopped to speak with him on the way out and explained we were repeat customers who had spent thousands of dollars in the store several months earlier and had returned because we try and shop locally and consciously support business in our area. He tells me that is their policy but he can " Help with this". I was already done with them and just wanted to share my disappointment with their policy. I wasn't looking to chisel, I just wanted to be treated fairly and felt the company policy was a really poor idea. Having owned a successful retail business for fifty years this way of doing business in my opinion is not a good idea. Of course everyone is entitled to how they run their business but personally they have lost a loyal customer. I personally would prefer you tell me the mattress and box spring are $1000.00 and bringing it into the home and setting it up are included, but if I want to save money they will bring it to the front door and I can set it up myself and save $100.00. As I said if I wanted to fly a discount airline where everything is an upsell I would have done...
Read moreI had been wanting a new mattress for a long time and have very bad back trouble. However being a widow with a daughter in college, my comfort was not a priority when it came to spending all that money. While out one day, my daughter noticed a 70% off sign at Mattress Firm and insisted we stop. I went in knowing that I would never be able to afford anything and was afraid to even lay down on the mattresses they had, afraid I would love one and be tempted to give in. I was helped by Mike Desroches, and was I ever wrong! Mike worked for well over an hour on the computer and making phone calls, trying to find me something in the outlet that I could afford. Amber was also there, and when I explained about my back trouble, she insisted that I try the adjustable base. I did, and loved it! Then Mike was able to locate me one in the outlet too. I was amazed at how hard he worked for me and how much he really cared about my sleep quality. He was able to work out a "Cadillac" mattress with an adjustable base on a "Bicycle" budget with warranty and all! I told him he had made my Christmas, and I'm so grateful for all his help and hard work! I have since recommended Mattress Firm and Mike and Amber to my clients at work and different people I talk to. Anyone looking for a better nights sleep should definitely look there first!
My daughter was home when the delivery people brought and set up our new bed. She said they too were SO helpful and explained everything about the new mattress and even took away the old one.
All I can say is "10+ stars" for the Mattress Firm crew! My daughter is now planning on a new mattress for herself, and we will definitely be...
Read moreThis is the quality of the "Red Carpet Delivery". There was no red carpet, no shoe booties worn by either delivery person and our mattress was dragged through the grass.
We purchased a Tempurpedic mattress 2 weeks ago and could not be more Dissatisfied with the delivery. The first date of delivery, we have to contact the store ourselves to find out when the delivery is to take place (we were given a date at purchase but no time). Come to find out that the mattress was never actually scheduled for delivery. We were unhappy but things happen. We rescheduled for another week out. To start off the issues, the delivery peoples were never given a "haul away" order to take the old mattress and box spring. So now we are left with having to pay the waste management services to pick up. The delivery begins with one guy standing by the truck as the other person drags a box spring through our grass and takes it up to the room. The photo below you will see the mattress itself. Both guys are now working but weren't strong enough to actually lift the mattress. So they start pulling it across the ground without the plastic cover even being on the mattress. They get it to the entry area of the house and it is stained!! We refuse delivery, as we are not going to buy a brand new mattress just to have it delivered dirty. Just for kicks, I get a delivery confirmation email and the delivery guy states that we refused cause of a "lil stain" Worst experience I have ever had with any...
