Great food and atmosphere.... unfortunately I am updating my review due to the horrible treatment I received from the manager. In the many years we have been going to this sandwich shop I have never had the rude experience I just had. I placed a pickup order and someone else picked up for me. When I got the order I didn't get the pasta salad I was charged for. Upon calling and talking to the manager, I explained the problem and asked for that to be refunded to my card. She explained that she couldn't do a partial refund so I said just refund the full amount THEN I was going to tell her to charge me the correct amount BUT before I could finish my sentence she abruptly asked " well was anything wrong with the sandwich?". I was shocked that she cut me off and I replied " I'm not sure I haven't opened the sandwich" to which she replied " I know there's not because I made that one"..... Wow, I was shocked at the abrupt rudeness and defensiveness. I simply told her that they just lost a customer with a huge order history. For the owner, I strongly recommend hiring a more qualified manager with better people skills. As far as the customer you just lost, when my kids are home from college or we are gathering for an occasion we always place a huge order that ranges from 80 up to 150 dollars and this is multiple times a year. Not to mention the occasional order I place from time to time for my wife and myself, you have lost all that and as many people as I can tell....sadly I will miss the food but honestly there are so many other choices in Palm Coast who will benefit from the poor management there!!!
Update....after reading some of the other reviews (filter them from lowest to highest) the rudeness seems to come from the top. Many others complained about it from managers and owner, one even mentioned Desiree whom I wonder if she is even a manager (I hope not because she definitely is...

Was sitting outside on steel cables (see photos), went inside to make sure outdoor seating was available and the girl said "yes". 2 employees came outside holding our food when one asked my wife to confirm what we order. She did, instead of setting the food down, the employess asked "Whats your customer number". Thats not usual, we've been to the location in Daytona several times and they never even asked for a receipt let alone a "customer number" for crying out loud! Of course she put the receipt in her pocketbook so she said "we are the only person in the entire restaurant, are you saying we haven't paid for our food?" He then persisted "Can I see your receipt please" My wife finds the receipt and proceeds to read the number off the (male) and while doing so he walked behind her (food tray still in hand) and leaned over her shoulder uncomfortably like she was lying. They confirm and set the food down.....no explaination, no "thank you" or "we apologize for the inconvenience", no "can we get you anything else?" and certainly no "enjoy your meal". Then, while sitting outside, my wife noted there were no napkins. Got up and tried to use the outside door... the door was locked. Signaled to the staff who simply motioned "go around to the front". That was it, you are now going out of your way to make your guests uncomfortable. When speaking to the employees to ask what my family did to treat a paying guest like this they simply denied everything instead of apologizing.....the one girl completely blew me off saying "ok sir, you have a nice day" in hopes I would simply leave. Sad because we frequent both the Palm Coast as well as the Daytona Beach locations and never experienced anything like this.....in ANY food...
Read moreIam a local business owner and I go to Dominic's Deli almost everyday. I go so much that the whole staff knows me and my order down to the T. I honestly love the food and all the staff they are great and really care about the customers. But the OWNER (or atleast thats who she said she was on the phone & let me add she was the one who took the order over the phone so if it is wrong it is her fault) of the establishment is a different story. I have never come in contact eith this woman I don't even know who she is but boy is she a nasty human and does not care about the customers. It seems like maybe she is silent and we never see her at the place for good reasons. I had someone else pick up my food today and they paid for it with their own card and I paid them for cash when I recieved my food. Our 2 cream sodas ended up being Diet cream sodas so i was calling just to tell them we recieved the wrong soda & the owner said she would refund our card but I told her it wasnt our card and we arent associated with the persons whose card it was so that would not work. She preceeded to get very rude and say that is that is the only thing she could do even when we suggested when we come in tomorrow we could exchange them.
