Today I visited the urgent care due to severe lower back and hip pain from severe injuries sustained in a car accident back in 2000. Pain has gotten worse as Ive gotten older. Before my visit to the UC i had an appt established with my Pain management but due to covid 19 its not for another few weeks. I visited urgent care for immediate care to assist me during my wait. Soon as Dr. Marlon S Matthews walked in his energy carried no empathy. He did not listen to me and asked if i wanted a shot for pain and ibuprofen... first of all how can a doctor offer a pain shot when my pain is both hips and L3, L4, L5 of my lower back with damaged nerves. I kindly declined the shot and declined ibuprofen because that self treatment obviously hadnât worked at home. He provided me with muscle relaxers but nothing to address the pain in multiple areas of my body. I asked If the medicine prescribed interferes with my Anxiety medication he yells to the MA itll make her drowsy but she just wants narcotics. Totally inappropriate and out of pocket. I have never been a âpill popperâ in my life and i wont ever recommend DUHC or âDrMathewsâ as a reliable source of authentic medical care he was more concerned about gossiping with his staff. He should re-evaluate his stance as a doctor and the medical board...

Read moreI was in here last week getting my TB test read. After 48 minutes I was called in. The woman tells me to sit down and I did, then she starts grabbing at me talking AT me about blood pressure. She's grabbing at me and I kept repeating "why are you touching me??? Just read the TB test!!!" She says, "I AM going to read your bp!" I told her it's going to be high and she asked if I had medicine for it, yes, I do. But I have a doctor, please read the TB test. "If you have a doctor why are you here!!" READ THE TEST. Finally, a woman appears telling the nurse to read the test and get me out. Then I had to ask her what the result was and how I would get the results to PSUSD. She snapped at me that it will be emailed to them. It was the most bewildering office visit I ever had. I walked out feeling assaulted. When I have to have it done again I will go anywhere but here. It's crazy that they make healthy people sit with the ill. A 30 second procedure shouldn't be...
