NEVER AGAIN. My wife and I were at Staples to buy a new chair for our home office. We found a chair that we liked but it didn’t have a price tag on it. We went to the front of the store to get some help. I saw a gentleman near the front and said, “Hi … do you work here?”. He was annoyed at my question and huffed and puffed and mumbled something that I couldn’t really hear. It was a very strange reaction to an innocent question. I asked him if he could help us in the chair department as we needed a price. I don’t think he wanted to physically go to the back of the store so he snapped, “there are price tags on all of the chairs!”. We told him the chair we liked did not have a price tag. He INSISTED it did. ("They all do!") He followed us back to the chair section and when my wife pointed out the chair we liked he said that it belonged to the end cap display — which is where the price is listed. The chair we liked was in the middle of the aisle, not near the end cap. I said, “How would anyone know that?” He kept belittling us so I just picked up the box and went to the register to pay. He tried to make a few jokes while we were paying, probably because he saw that my head was about to explode. Read moreI’ve experienced poor customer service before but never to this degree! Specifically the guy who handles the printers has a chip on his shoulder. He’s the short Spanish guy with a nasty disposition, I believe his name is Jaun. I encountered him last month when picking up my business cards and he was apparently too busy to assist me so I came back specifically yesterday looking for a printer. When I arrived he was helping another customer and seemed in a better mood so I said “good morning as he walked by” which he later said he “didn’t hear me “ lol I watched as he took great care of this lady customer but when it was my turn I got this cold demeanor as if I was bothering him. His responses to my questions were one word replies and just not friendly at all LIKE HE WAS WITH THE OTHER FEMALE CUSTOMER! I will go two towns over to the next Staples before I ever step foot in this location again....
Read moreHad the worst encounter with the cashier who so obviously couldn’t care less to be there. I had my two boys pick out an abundance of items and I knew the cashier charged me double for something. He was an almost bald man with an Italian flag mask. I told him that he charged me twice and he just brushed it off. I was so annoyed and there was a long line behind me but you could tell he didn’t care. Angry about the dismisses behavior that he was giving me, I went into the car and spent 45 minutes looking at every single item. I was charged for 32 items but only 31 were in the bag. Had to go one by one when finally I found that he charged me twice right five star spiral notebook. When I went back in there he didn’t even apologize. He wasted so much of my time.
