We enjoyed our stay and although it is an older building with long narrow hallways typical of another time- the room itself was very clean and comfortable. We had 2 full bathrooms and both very clean with plush clean towels. The front desk folks were so nice and even brought me an extra blanket. The real shout out however goes to the breakfast staff and the maintenance man whose name I didn't get but who is pictured here. Breakfast guru Jose was particularly kind and caring. I saw his professionalism shine many times as folks were a bit rude to him and he didn't even wince. I saw folks at breakfast barefoot, and people sneezing right next to the food and still the breakfast staff just worked truly hard to keep the place well stocked and clean for the rest of us. On our way out to go to a wedding, my husband's heel came off his shoe. I am not joking when I say the maintenance man literally fixed my husband's shoe like a pro in the front hallway with gorilla glue. This was awesome and I wish I had gotten his name. If I have any criticism at all, the hotel staff does not seem to stay on top of the gym quite as much as the other spaces so I would suggest make sure the towels, equipment wipes, equipment and floors are all stocked and cleaned in the gym. The equipment I used worked fine, just needed a thorough wipe down and the yoga mats were thrown on the floor in a heap and full of dust so I opted not to use them. Anyway, over all for Bergen County this is the best place we have found so far and by far the staff made all the difference!

I booked this hotel for one night 9/3-4/2025 but had to leave before even getting into bed. I checked in around 5:15 p.m., dropped my bags, and went out briefly for some exercise and dinner. When I returned later to get ready for bed, I discovered the room (222, second floor) was infested with ants, see photos. The ants were not only on the counters and floor, but also crawling through my garments and inside my bags. At that point, the room was completely uninhabitable. I immediately checked out around 10:55 p.m. and moved to another hotel, despite having paid $179.36 for the night. To be fair, Lloyd at the front desk was polite and professional. He explained that since I booked through Expedia, I would need to request my refund there, and he assured me I would be reimbursed. His customer service was appreciated, but it does not excuse the unacceptable condition of the room. The fact that this happened on the second floor raises concerns about a larger pest issue at this property. Until management resolves the infestation and improves cleanliness, I cannot recommend staying here. Additionally, the bed creaks and cracks as you sit on it. Very disconcerting.

We've been staying here for the last 10+ years to visit with family for the holidays. This will be the last time. This place has steadily declined. Recently weve noticed thst some rooms smell extremely musty & moldy, while others don't. This last time we had our stay, toilet was crooked. Not the seat but the whole toilet was leaning about 3/4" to the left & the seat was loose as well. Then the final straw was a freshly placed glue insect/mouse trap (with peanut butter inside it) in another room our relatives were staying next to the bed by the lamp. (See pictures) Never again.

Stayed for a week-long visit to family and friends, and chose this hotel because it was located right next to the Paramus Park mall, close to major highways, and was recently upgraded. The staff was very professional, friendly and accommodating. All the furniture is new and the decor is modern. The king-sized suite we got had plenty of space and was cleaned well. The bathroom was also nice and clean. The hotel gym was very nice too with free weights, yoga matts, treadmills a couple other machines. Basically everything in this hotel is new. The breakfast was the standard type of complimentary hotel breakfast, and the entire lobby area and hallways were very clean. My only major complaint was that the king-sized bed was not exactly king-sized! I have a king-sized bed at home, and my husband and I always get a king-sized bed whenever we travel, so I'm used to the size of a king-sized bed and how much room I have left for myself with my husband next to me. Unfortunately, as nice as this hotel is, I didn't get as good a night's sleep as I was hoping because the bed felt narrower. Considering our busy schedule and 3 hours change in timezone (of the earlier kind) I was disappointed. I asked management about it, and they said it was indeed a king-sized bed, and that I probably have a California king at home (which I do not, and btw, California kings are narrower than regular kings so that argument doesn't apply here). Anyway, if you don't care about how wide or long your king-sized bed is, then this place shouldn't be a problem. When I complained, the facilities manager came and measured the bed with me, which was very nice of him! The dimensions of the bed in the hotel was 72 in wide by 78.5 in long. According to several sites on the internet though, king-sized bed dimensions in the US & Canada are 76 in by 80 in, and California king-sized beds are 72 in by 84 in. So the bed was smaller all around, in both length and width by a few inches. I'm not sure why the decision was made to install beds that are smaller than what is listed as standard. Perhaps it was an oversight or a manufacturer defect. I just think that for those who are very tall or need more room on the side, this is not an ideal situation. Other than that, I had no...

This was our first time here with my immediate family including one child in elementary school. My family from Chicago and Virginia wanted to stay here for a single Friday night to be close to the Paramus Mall for shopping and near our former residence in Haworth, New Jersey. After we arrived to the hotel we drove over to the Paramus Mall for some lunch and some shopping at Macys. More to come regarding our visit to the Paramus Mall. We also wanted to enjoy a family dinner and cocktails at the adjacent BoneFish Grill. More to come regarding our experience at the BoneFish Grill. There is a doorway from the hotel to the BoneFish Grill, which we used so we did not have to walk outside although the weather here was beautiful.||I reserved three rooms for my family members using my Marriott Bonvoy app on my iPhone. I reserved two king bedrooms and one room with two queen beds using my annual free room and Marriott Bonvoy hotel points. There was lots of construction around the hotel, which did not impact our stay. Also there was lots of parking for our three vehicles. Our check-in went smoothly. I was recognized at Titanium elite status. At time of check-in I was upgraded to a King bedroom with a separate living room and two full bathrooms. My room 151 suite had two HDTVs, a refrigerator, a pull out sofa bed in the living area and two separate HVAC units. My room appeared to be recently updated. See my pics of the views from my room. Our two king bedrooms including my suite were adjacent, but not connecting rooms. The room with two queen beds was across our hallway, which made it effective for us to stay together and informed. My suite became a gathering place for my family. My king bed was comfy for sleeping. ||During our stay it appeared the main entrance automatic outside sliding glass doors would get frequently stuck open. I enjoyed my morning scrambled eggs, coffee and orange juice. Our check out also went smoothly. We all agreed we will...

This hotel is unsanitary and its staff are disorganized and unprofessional. Don’t stay here unless you don’t mind ants in your hotel room and having to chase after someone for days on the phone after checking out just for them to offer a measly $50 refund for the issue (not even enough to cover just the tax on my stay!)

I stayed here from March 22-26 at their bereavement rate as I came from out of town for my beloved grandfather’s memorial services nearby. On the morning of the 26th, I picked up a half eaten candy bar from the night stand that I had re-wrapped, and DOZENS of ants fell out of the package and were piled up underneath the lamp. There had been a few ants in the bathroom on previous days but I was busy with the wake and funeral and was unable to address it until checking out.

Upon checkout, I informed the receptionist who said she would email me my receipt from my stay and that the manager would be in touch with me. Well she didn’t email me the receipt until I called the next day and had to ask again, and the manager never got in touch with me. I called the hotel 3 more times and the manager Lori Brown was conveniently unavailable each time, and I even gave the courtesy of returning to the hotel in person with my grandmother to try to calmly and professionally work the issue out, to which the receptionist was defensive and Lori was still nowhere to be found. I emailed Lori the next day, still nothing. 6 days later I finally got in touch with Lori after calling AGAIN and she tried to give me reward points, which would’ve been equivalent to a half night’s stay at another hotel, and when I declined she said the best they could do was a $50 refund on a $560 stay. I had also had lots of family members stay here for the services, too, so I contributed to getting them business and they responded with an absence of professionalism.

This hotel gives a bad reputation to Marriott facilities. Don’t stay...
