Perrys Bagel Cafe — Restaurant in Paramus

I came in this morning hoping for a good start to my day with a bagel, but unfortunately the experience was very disappointing. When I was trying to place my order, the staff were hiding behind the counter and looking at each other through the glass instead of acknowledging me. It felt uncomfortable because I like to look someone in the eye out of respect, but instead I got side-eye.

After ordering, I was asked to pay. There was already a brown bag in front of me, so I assumed it was mine. When I reached for it, the bag was suddenly snatched right out of my hand without a single word of explanation. I stood there in shock, and about 5 minutes later my actual order was finally ready.

On top of that, I had asked for pepper on my sandwich and it wasn’t added.

Beware. Expensive and the bagels were very plain. Ordered a garlic bagel that would have passed for a plain bagel in many other places. Typical cost cutting in the wrong places. However, i asked for light cream cheese on it, BUT they put enough cream cheese for a half dozen bagels. As for the other bagel, which was supposed to be light on the butter, they did the opposite.
