DaVinci Nail — Attraction in Parsippany-Troy Hills

CALLED TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT FOR SPECIFIC SNS NAILS AND PEDICURE. THE OWNER WAS STARTING TO DO MY NAILS AND THEN A CUSTOMER CAME FOR something else and said to me she will take over. They absolutely did not know how to do sns nails and when I told her this is not sns nails and I indicated to her something is not right that the place I go to does it differently, her remark was then why did you come here!. Very rude! I said to her that's very rude. I am a new customer and wanted to try a different place and it's closer to me.my nails where rough and my cuticles were a mess. I was so disappointed, the owner didn't even come by me to see what was happening. I only told her I was going to Pay pedicure. My thing is this if you don't do something why say you do to bring customers in and then be disappointed. I will never go back to this place. Then to make matters worse when she was doing pedicure a customer walked in wanted to get a pedicure no appointment and she said sorry nothing available. I went here initially for the groupon eyelash extensions deal. The lashes themselves were good quality, but you literally lean back in an old fabric upholstered recliner. Ew. Same thing for waxing, but at least it's a salon chair.

I started getting my gel mani there as well and the technician used the electric filing DRILL and destroyed my natural nail. My nails were completely useless for a month, at least. They constantly broke and chipped doing the most basic of tasks and my nails have always been naturally strong and healthy with no growth problems. They also started to break in the middle of my nailbed - I was floored by how paper thin they were, but noticed not all of them were thin - some were fine. Just goes to show you they have zero technique when they're buffing your nail into oblivion.

Not only would I avoid this salon, I would demand that these technicians stop using power tools on peoples NAILS and stop being lazy and go back to using a good old file. Never had any of these issues before these drills became the benchmark...

I usually get my nails done with Ellen. Today, I just walked in because my nail broke last night. Naturally, she was busy so I agreed to have the only other girl I see there on a Friday do my nails; I really wish I had her name.

When I told her to please be careful with my broken nail bc it hurts, she got so mad and got nasty. She was like, “yeah I know but I have to file anyway.” I was like, “great, just please be careful with how much you file bc like I said, it hurts.” She then gets up and goes into the room where Ellen is doing lashes on another customer to tell her that I was complaining. At which point Ellen came out herself and I kindly explained again that my nail hurts and I was simply telling her to be cognizant of that.

The whole situation was weird, uncomfortable and mostly unnecessary. I will go back solely bc Ellen rocks in eye lash application and she does good gel nail work. I will never go without an appointment again....
