I have eaten here a fair amount of times never an issue. Tonight my sandwich was not right. There was a bad taste and smell to it. I took a bite and spat it out. I thought initially perhaps there was cleaning product off of the counter that contaminated it. So I went back with my entire sandwich and nicely (obviously the people employed didn’t intentionally give me a bad sandwich) told them it was inedible. The woman offered to make me another sandwich, and I expressed my concern that it would be the same way as I did not know what, specifically on the sandwich was making it taste so bad. I couldn’t tell if it was bad spinach, or if the olives were funky, something was not right. At this point, the woman called the manager, and I assumed was getting authorization to give me my nine dollars back however, she informed me that the manager was getting off of the highway and would be there any moment to speak to me. I figured a few minutes wouldn’t be a big deal to wait for him. upon walking in the door, he immediately started aggressively saying “what’s wrong with my sandwich” “ tell me what’s wrong with my sandwich?” “ my reputation is everything“. “We don’t use cleaning products and everything is fresh”To which I said honestly I don’t really know what exactly the problem is I just know it tastes bad and it’s inedible. To which he replies “you can’t just come in here and ask for refunds. It must be the vinegar you’re smelling” I replied that at 53 years old I had eaten vinegar many times. I said “this is literally the first time I’ve ever had an issue here But you know what obviously this 9 dollars is more important to you than it is to me, so just keep the money and walked out the door. I am in the service industry myself and I can’t even imagine gaslighting a customer the way the owner of this subway did. Even if I know my product is good and it’s user error I still listen and find a solution that makes them happy. So because of his aggressive and defensive attitude. Bad management …. To insinuate.that a 53 year old women would gain some benefit in purchasing a sandwich only to come back moments later, expressing an inability to eat it just to get my money back...
Read moreThis was my go to subway location but I will never return to this place again after my experience tonight. I went in stores to pick up two of my tuna subs I ordered on the app. When I was picking it up I saw that the male worker was making my sandwiches, I noticed my tuna was toasted with cheese on top but before he added toppings I asked if he could remake it and only toast the bread because to my knowledge I only selected the toast to be toasted not the tuna and the toast. He rudely said no I should’ve specified in the comments which I didn’t argue against. But toasting tuna only makes it unpleasant and fishy and when I ordered in person before they never toasted the tuna. I briefly looked down at my phone and let him complete the sandwich but oddly it happened too fast. I thought to myself if he even put any of the toppings I asked for on my order but didn’t want to annoy him since it seemed to get busy around the time I came and he was already moody. I drove home and opened my sandwich to see he forgot to put some of the sauces my sweet onion teriyaki, Parmesan vinaigrette, onions and black olives. When I called to let him know he made my order incorrectly he was belligerent, in denial, and rude. I asked him if he wanted a picture of the food or I could drive up and show him and he hung up on me saying he made it correctly and he knows he did. It was such a bland and awfully made sandwich. Please avoid this...
Read moreClean, Great Menu, Great Customer Service, Your Family Subway owned by good hearted owner who is mindful delivering best customer experience with subway. I know because I have visited other subway stores in NJ. Many of them don't know how to run successfully.
Tried falafal last week and loved the taste. So far I have ordered atleast 6 times in past one year and ate once with family. I am fortunate to live in area where the best subway in NJ is located.
Each bite of sandwich is filled with taste, freshly cut vegetables you can feel the crunch in every bite, reasonable price ( five dollar veggie delight and that includes falafal!!) and also accepts promotional coupons from subway. I also get in mail since I live in area. The bread is so soft and little wider compared to other subway (especially mall). I never had single issue where I was disappointed with quality of bread, vegetables, and taste.
In short one of the best in NJ. Other stores should learn from this place how you sell sandwiches to customers, sadly including other subway...
