I attempted to make a reservation at a La Quinta in Fort Collins, Colorado near Interstate 25. NE Colorado has a bedbug problem, based on several guest reviews from mostly Wyndham Properties. This is not my first complaint on Wyndham properties for this and other issues and when I see that Wyndham owns the facility, it raises many red flags. I then call the hotel directly and ask about my concerns, because the people in management there make or break the stay. Many properties are franchised to people who have absolutely no interest in the comfort or security of their guests; they put profit ahead or people and that is never a successful way to do business. In this case, I called and reached a male front desk employee at the La Quinta in Fort Collins, Colorado near Interstate 25. He said his name was Patrick. I know about the bedbug problem, so before making the reservation, I asked about this, and he gave me the canned reply about this being a common problem. I agreed and said I would check upon arrival and would want a refund if they were found. This was where he lost his cool and told I shouldn't stay there. When I asked another question, he refused me a reservation. this means he knows there is a problem and will not admit to it. His response was extremely rude and very disrespectful. I worked in customer care so I can be sure of this. Under no circumstances is this the way to treat a potential guest. Those unhappy guests go out of their way to spread news their experiences, as I am doing. I called the Customer Care Dept. in TX to report him. The call was directed overseas to a reservations dept. Finally on the 5th attempt, I reached someone with passable English, but she she worked in reservations. The fact that Wyndham sends it's customer care concerns over seas, or redirects them, shows complete contempt for customer's concerns. By this time, I had spent way too much time dealing with such inept service, so I explained my problem to her, telling her it was not about reservations. She said she could still help me. But in the end, she could not. I has already written an email to Customer Service at Wyndham, but space was limited so details were left out. I also wrote a negative review on the hotels, website and here, on Google. Except for this, there is nothing more I can do. I want to complain about overall Wyndham Customer Service, and this hotel, and Patrick specifically. I want to see him fired for bad customer skills. I see that he is typical of Wyndham with no caring or even respectful spirit so he is correct, I should not stay in a Wyndham property. I won't be. I wanted to write these details so this negative experience would not be overlooked and others can learn about Wyndham's extremely poor Customer Service. Since this review was written, I've had additional problems with Wyndham at the corporate level. Wyndham is not interested in correcting problems even at the management level. The website is not user-friendly and I am not able to sign into my membership. It's hotel rewards club, not the password/keycard...
Read moreI stayed at the Super 8 in Virginia Beach. The room dusty, but bathroom looked like it was going to fall in. Horrible, then they had my son's truck towed, off their parking lot. No one will take responsibility for it. All they say is talk to Melissa, then it is Rachel Patel. Well neither one will call or answer the phone when i call. At first they would answer then they ask the same questions, then puts you on hold. Called corporation office never anything done either. After three or 4 call to corporation office. I have lost count for calling the hotel. I assume that everyone has my phone number they will not pick up. When corporate office called they were told that Rachel Patel will call. This never happens. Why do we have to put up when we pay. PS I asked one lady (cleaning Lady) about cleaning out the pool? . I explained what was in it she looked said, no one is here will be back tomorrow. My son cleaned the pool!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! When we figured out that his truck had been towed. The towing company said they called the front desk and they said to tow it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. Now Melissa will not talk to me!!!!! I believe she was the one that had it towed. This is the strange thing she was the one there the day My son, grandson, and I checked in!!!!!????? When registering you have to put all information on the there little paper. Make, Model, Year Color????? Why. When talking to the towing person. He admitted that he tows 100 cars a week out of that parking lot . He replied to me that everyone complains but, never does anything about it.??????????????? Bad business practice when they are having there paying customer towed. At $ 145.00 for each cars multiplied by a week that is a lot of money someone is making. The only reason i posted a 1 star this is the only way i can post on this site. I was told last week the Super 8 Virginia had a week to reply after the 2nd call. Well past that???????? I get it they are not calling. I am not stopping here i will keep going just enough...
Read moreI was on a vacation from hell at this hotel!!!
When I first arrived on June 27, 2017, I had noticed the nonsmoking room smelled like cigerette residue and mildew. Such an awful smell. But what sent me running the front desk was both the bug flying around the room and the creepy crawlers on the wall next to the nighstand. My family and I packed our stuff, headed to the front desk and requested to change rooms.
Our room was changed but not our sheets. We called the front desk many times to complain, however, no one seemed to ever been available to pick up the phone. As a result, I had made several trips to the front desk to request our room to be cleaned while we were out at breakfast as well as continuously requested used towels to be removed and replaced. We went two days before our room was "cleaned" and old towels removed and replaced. It got to the point where I had placed used towels outside of the hotel door for pick up.
On our final full day inside of the hotel room, one of the beds which we had occupied, had a bug crawling on top of the sheet which was under the blanket. Talk about surprised, disgusted and annoyed at this point and afraid to go out at night. The raccoons own the hotel at night. They walk around the parking lot, chill on the garbage cans, climb the trees in the area where the pools are and walk alongside the roof of the hotel rooms. Scorpions line the sides of the pools and lounge chair areas. I mean it is awful here and I am itching writing this review.
Finally, at checkout we were charged for a day which we haven't arrived at the hotel to occupy the room. I have been calling around to the different areas of the hotel now and the issue has yet to be resolved.
Do yourself a favor and find a better quality hotel to stay. It is not worth the hastle, the customer service was horrible, it smelled, raccoons, rodents and bugs are everywhere. One of the morning supervisors at the front desk told me, "this is Florida, what do...
