This is a super cute garden to go picnic or read in! It's very quite and peaceful here, and there are plenty of shaded spots with seating and tables to enjoy a snack or just relax in nature. There are many branching, winding paths with cute sculptures, impressive plants, or soothing fountains right around the corner. The thing that made this garden so special despite it's small size is that there were endless things to see here. Various memorials are located throughout the garden and there are places with people's art. There was even a tree where people tied little pieces of paper with their hopes, wishes, and ambitions for the future on them to the branches.
We came on a Saturday and there weren't too many people here. The paths and seating areas are separated from each other with various trees and other plants, so you couldn't really tell other people were in the garden unless they walked directly by you. Everyone was wearing masks and social distancing too.

did I mention it was free? thanks to the staff, volunteers and the support from community, this sad and bald 2-somthing acres land, used to own by Caltrans, they turned into a sanctuary filled with California native plants.
walking down the path, i could smell all the fragrance from the herbs, flowers and fruits. who would think such a place existed in the middle of two major roads in Pasadena?
