Serious Safety Concern – Contaminated Cannabis at Mother Earth Dispensary (Rhode Island) I had a terrible experience at my local dispensary, Mother Earth in Rhode Island. I purchased an eighth of cannabis, only to discover plastic shavings embedded directly in the flower. Thankfully, I caught it before consuming — but the situation could have led to serious health consequences if I hadn't noticed in time. What’s worse is how the situation was handled. I brought the issue to Mother Earth’s management, and they admitted this had been a “known issue” in the past, blaming their distributor. There were no warning labels regarding potential contaminants, aside from the standard cancer disclaimer. Their initial response was to offer me an even exchange and a $100 store credit — for nearly inhaling plastic. I made it clear that this wasn’t an acceptable resolution given the seriousness of the contamination. They then had the cultivator and three of their partners reach out to me directly. Their offer was an ounce of flower and two vape cartridges as an apology. I declined, respectfully explaining that the potential harm from this situation — had I consumed the product — could have resulted in permanent damage to my health. I was calm and patient throughout, giving them multiple chances to make the situation right without legal involvement. I made a good-faith request for fair compensation: either 50% off all future purchases for life, or a year’s supply of product — both of which I felt reflected the seriousness of the health risk, loss of trust, and lasting emotional toll of the experience. After some back and forth, they initially seemed willing to work something out — but then they completely backed out of the conversation, showed no real remorse, and tried to shift the blame. Worse, they later accused me of trying to “extort” them, and claimed that the plastic was only found in the packaging, not the flower itself. Anticipating this, I had saved one untouched nug from the original batch — still sealed and clearly contaminated with plastic embedded in the flower. I also recorded a video of myself opening the original packaging and immediately discovering the plastic, proving the issue originated with their product — not with me. Because I didn’t consume the product, they argued that their initial compensation was “more than fair.” But what if I had smoked it? What would the medical impact and lifelong health costs have been? Their attempt to minimize this is deeply irresponsible. This entire experience has left me with zero trust in Mother Earth. There is clearly no reliable system for ensuring product safety, and even worse — no accountability when something goes wrong. I will never return, and I strongly urge others to proceed with caution. If you’ve experienced something similar, don’t let them silence you with a token gesture or blame you for speaking up. I gave them every chance to do the right thing. At this point, this is no longer just about one bad experience — it’s about public health, transparency, and consumer protection. It’s the state’s duty to regulate and enforce product safety, and I sincerely hope this helps hold those involved to a higher standard.

CMS!!!! YOU GUYS ROCK! Grabbed an 8th of the "TRASH PANDA🤯!!!" •Trash Panda is an evenly balanced hybrid strain thought to be created through a cross of the rare Panda OG strain (Berry Sour Crème X OG Chem) & Trash Kush strain (Purple Trainwreck X Afghani Hash Plant) It's an amazing strain, you guys produced SO WELL! 🙏 TOP TIER FOR SURE! Skunk fills the air, berries dance on my tongue, robust chem on the exhale yet soft on the throat and lungs. Ash is white, smooth very smooth smoke! Rolled it in a Blazy Susan pink wide paper burned slowly, even oil ring. Just a superb strain. Biggup CMS! PS good buy Mother's! Great purveyor, hats off. Love you guys keep up the good work. 🙏🙏🙏 ________________________________________ Terple! Terple! Terple! 🤯 Very good! I realized way too late, my paragraph of feedback was lost and only posted my 5-Star rating. 🤦🏽‍♀️ I wanted to really let the people know this is the Cartier of dispensaries; I have been to dozens from Michigan out to Massachusetts. I keep returning to Mother Earth, almost daily. I feel at home when I go there. This place is just full of my people. The energy, the display cases, the bud bar!!!!! the whole vibe, the inventory, the playlists, the reward system, the DEALS!!! the freaking wicked events and of course the STAFF!!! They are amazing and truly understand what customer service IS. Always eager to help every single customer and the willingness to right a mistake or error. Staff is beyond amazing and so very well-informed. Not everybody knows my name there at all but it feels like Cheers whenever I walk in. Always feel so welcomed.

Now I’m just 1little old person in a market of many so at the end of the day,I don’t matter.I’m starting to feel like a pest, I work hard for my money 2turn n spend @establishment I want things to be correct so update.had a really bad experience They tried to rectify it right away. I commend them for that but no soon as they fix that problem. Couple days later I go and lo and behold a problem I let it go. because again, they had just rectified the situation, but a free eighth that time and then Another time I have 30% off another $30 off another situation I had was kept using my points and I don’t tell them to use my points you let people get rewards. That’s wonderful appreciate it. i’m the type that likes to hang onto my rewards points n use until I 100% desperately need. That’s the constant battle. I don’t give a damn I’m going to say something because again I work too hard to turn around and give money to a place that don’t care to ever get it right.I know my budget and my funds for the month, so yes I get perturbed when points are used and I know I’m saving them for a certain time in the month where my income is going to be real limited but I can’t use them if they keep turning around and using my points and then past couple other times, they didn’t give me my points back they just again put a note in my profile/account to give me a little bit of something off because the staff don’t seem to listen. Also, something else that I don’t bring to the attention because there’s too many other fish to fry with them, is messing up my orders, charging me double time, and I only get one thing. yeah crazy right a $43 order became $86 because I was double charged but let’s rewind back to what I was saying some discounts I got the whole bumper sticker advertising the crap out that place every time I tell them about my bumper sticker it never gets used but again like I said, but my points will get used. I don’t never say anything about my points. Even the times that I’ve been asked do you have any points you wanna use today? No I don’t means No I don’t wanna use my points leave my points alone. so let’s bring it to yesterday I wanted to use what was notated in my account what I was given off because there was a mishap a few days prior and mind you I go to a couple of times out the week so it’s real frustrating. I told her no I don’t want to use my points, but I have ex amount of dollars off or percentage off because I was overcharged. A few days ago, could I please just use that leave my points alone I don’t want to use them.why I pull off check my points to see that they used 200 of my points. That’s not what I asked them to do cause like today I could use my points. Like it would come in handy but that’s right they use my points already so I don’t have those to use now.i feel like I’m being a nuisance.im complaining too much but that’s what it feels like I feel like they sick of me but at the end of the day, Teach your staff to listen cause it’s always a problem in the drive through and I definitely don’t want to be told well go inside then.no no no if we’re given the option/ability to use the drive-thru I shouldn’t have problems going through the drive-thru opposed to going inside… I really don’t think what I’m asking for is too much or too hard. I just asked that if I’m asked if I’m using points and I say no, leave the points that you see in my account alone, you’re not doing me any favors by using my stuff… Listen carefully and if you can’t remember, don’t try to take cards and IDs from multiple cars at once cause clearly it seems like it’s too much to be handled so you really should do one car at a time so that way you can remember correctly as to what a...

Serious Safety Concern – Contaminated Cannabis at Mother Earth Dispensary (Rhode Island)

I had a terrible experience at my local dispensary, Mother Earth in Rhode Island.

Just wanted to say that this is an amazing place. They always have great hospitality service quick and easy .The only thing that I and a few of my friends have had a problem with is the new website .They recently changed it and it is not appealing ,it's much harder to look for what you want . We don't understand why it was changed because in our point of view again" in our point of view" it was perfect .I could say to my friends go to page 3 it's the fifth one down and they would know exactly what I am talking about. So to follow up from what I last had written above the new website is the only flaw that I can see at the moment as far as in-house customer service goes. Now outhouse drive-thru wise there's one girl there that is not courteous her face and her body gestures give off the impression that she doesn't want to be there ,she doesn't want to serve us, we're annoying her ,very unpleasant customer service when we have to be dealt with by her. I want to say she has dark hair but I can't be for certain .So next time I go I'm going to make sure I have the detail so I can make a review about her because like I said it is a very unpleasant customer service experience when you're dealing with her grabbing money out of your hands with aggressive behavior. I always give ppl the benefit of the doubt that this has been three times dealing with her and it's the same behavior . I will say this though there is one in particular agent that I have dealt with numerous times and he is absolutely phenomenal I don't know his first name which is horrible on my part because I should but he is absolutely phenomenal every time I come in his customer service is excellent always knows my first name and other customers very pleasant just a over all Welcoming vibe though I do not know his name but he is of Asian descent maybe 5'4 very pleasant and welcoming persona and usually works in the prepaid counter in-house.He is an exceptional show of great customer service TY Kindly Lynn...
