Had a great time at Paradox Escape Rooms! We did both of the rooms and had a blast - Spy Catcher was my favorite, but my wife likes Houdini’s Challenge. It’s a pretty standard escape room experience: you get an hour to solve the mystery/story, or “die” trying. It’s kind of like a “who down it” or “Clue” type thing. Really good for a family get-together or for a day out. The puzzles are extremely complex, but I didn’t find them to be overly difficult. Houdini was quite the challenge though. We didn’t actually escape from Houdini in time.
Very affordable prices, and the staff were quite friendly. We paid about $25 per person, but that’s more than fair. We’ve done other rooms that were a bit more expensive, but I’ve also seen some that are a bit cheaper as well.
The location in the Outlets is perfect. You can show up a short while before your booking, shop around a bit, eat, then start your room. We loved the pretzel place next door, and the outlets are a great way to waste an afternoon.
At the moment, Paradox only has the two rooms but they say they are planning on adding an additional room soon, and I can’t wait to try it out. We will be back for sure. Very...
Read moreWe solved our room within our time limit with one hint from the staff. We have been to the other 2 escape rooms in the Jackson area, so that's what I'm using for comparison. The cost was slightly cheaper than the other 2 (by around $5 each). Some improvements that could be made are: 1) the rooms have no ceilings and you can hear everything that is being said outsde of the room. It's very difficult to concentrate when there is lots of noise outside of your room, 2) there was no light in the closet which makes it a challenge to decipher clues there, 3) I don't feel like anyone was watching us to determine if we were struggling or not even though there were cameras in the rooms. When we asked for help, we had to tell them how far along we were, and 4) We had 5 people in our group, but the room description says it holds up to 8. I'm not sure how you would fit 8 people into a room that small. 5) The number on the combination padlocks were very difficult to see. Providing padlocks with numbers that are colored different from the lock itself would help immensely. Otherwise, we had an...
Read morethere was only one girl working and she was busy busy! our appointment was for 7:30 and we finally got started at 8 because she had to reset two rooms (one for the people there before us and our room). the girl was very sweet and apologetic about the wait!! my complaint is not about her at all. she helped us a lot and she was super patient and attentive. 5 stars for her! however, the room was disappointing. one of the props didn’t work fully and it seemed like the thought behind the room was a little messy and confusing. we did spy catcher moscow. there were a couple things that just didn’t make sense and even the girl working couldn’t figure out the last part of the puzzle. overall i think this would be more enjoyable if there was more planning and thought put...
