Habitat For Humanity — Attraction in Peoria

Went in for 2 doors- priced $10 for hollow doors and $30 for solid doors. Never said anything about paneled doors unless it was a bifold door then it was priced differently.. got to the counter and the people at the register said “ we will do $25 on that one and $15 on that” which were both hollow doors suppose to be priced at $10 each. She made prices up when we got to the counter we showed her the sign that never said anything about different price and argued with her, the man behind the counter was being extremely rude and huffing and puffing the entire time my husband was explaining pricing.. she said “the manager said to price them that” meanwhile we heard her say when we walked up “let’s do $25 for this and $15 for that” like are you kidding me? Absolutely WILL NEVER COME BACK! If you want good service go to the other one in Peoria! Absolutely terrible people...

I had them pick up a huge entertainment center that I was donating. The lady I spoke with seem to always have a bit of an attitude. Their communication sucks. I told her the entertainment center was extremely heavy and to make sure you bring enough people to move it. The day of pick up, there was only 2 guys and as they struggled to get it I had mentioned to them what I had told the lady. One of the guys told me they never send more help. It's always just the 2 of them which irritated me because I know how heavy that was and they were told about it. In the process of removing the entertainment center from my home, they completely tore my porch apart. Although I don't blame the guys who picked it up, I called and left a voice-mail explaining what happened and that I wanted a call back. 2 weeks later and they never called me back. Never again will I donate...

So I was planning to spend at least $600 with habitat today, but when I went to the customer service area the habitat gentlemen acted like they didn't see me, so I figured this location doesn't want my money. I liked the fact that this habitat delivered since I'll be moving here in just a couple of days.

Now I have to rent a truck and drive it up here and go to the habitat in my previous area. To be honest this habitat in Peoria has the ugliest furniture I've ever seen. The amount of work I would have to do to make it look nice is a entire month work. Where I'm from the habitat has nice items. Those couches...
