Urban Artifacts is the store to go for novelty old-timey signs…
Just make sure you bring plenty of cash. While the use of the word ‘novelty’ conjures up the thought of reproduction items to represent things from the past; when it comes to Urban Artifacts, these things are from the past.
My friend Matt is the one who introduced me to this store as I had never heard of it. Which is kind of comical, as we visited Broken Tree Coffee a few times and Urban Artifacts is just a few shops over from there.
On to Urban Artifacts! The store is a lot bigger than it appears from the outside. My friends and I spent a solid hour browsing and I know we didn’t see everything they offered.
There were quite a few awesome things I wanted to pick up in there, but the price for these novelty, if not nostalgic items, were a bit higher than I wanted to pay. Prices may be high, but the items they carry are in great shape.
Overall, a really cool store. A neat ‘blast from the past’ up and down each aisle. If you love browsing thrift stores and stumbling upon things from the past, this shop is for you.
