The park seemed nice and I suppose most of the dogs, too, though didn't get to spend enough time there to really tell. As soon as we got there, an aggressive dog started to bully my pup and within a few minutes ended up attacking him, while i was picking up his poop, drawing blood and now he has a scab 😢. My poor baby is too sweet for his own good and doesn't have an aggressive bone in his body so he just cried and ran over to me and we left. The guy with the aggressive dog was not even the slightest bit ashamed and just continued to let his dog bully other dogs. I don't understand why people bring aggressive and not dog- friendly dogs to the dog park. This isn't the first time my dog has been bullied (he's a bit of a softie) but this is the first time he walked away bloody... I cried. It was emotional. If you don't have a kind dog, acknowledge that, train that, and don't bring them around to...
Read moreStandard dog park. Kind of muddy. When we showed up there was a very rude individual sitting under the tree reading his book while his very mean and aggressive husky basically dominated the yard. Every dog was terrified to play and for the for 20 minutes nothing was happening. A new dog would walk in and this happy fella would sit there, head in his book, while his dog ran over and bit into submission the new dog. After 20 minutes this guy and his obviosly very well trained dog left and the entire atmosphere changed immediately. Within 5 minutes all the dogs were playing with each other and running around having fun. Goes to show how 1 oblivious, uncaring, a-hole can ruin it for everyone. Its a middle age man, grey hair with a book and a husky. If you see him in the park or on his way into the park, I would leave...
Read moreThis is my dog's favorite dog park. However, every time he goes, he cuts up his paws on the mulch they have laid all over the middle of the park. It used to just be dirt leading to some very muddy pups, which is now fixed, but it is a half done job. The mulch they used is very large and unprocessed so playing fetch can often lead to a leap straight into splintering chunks of wood. I don't think this will be a problem for most dogs, as ours is a little crazy and sprints full force for the ball, regardless of whats in front of him, including the fence. The park is very spacious and is seperated into two areas, one for small dogs and one for the rest. The double gate makes it very easily to enter and leave without taking the whole...
