I am only giving it one star because they were relatively nice, but it was truly the worst manicure of my entire life. I walked in with 10 perfect nails and left with only 8. The woman doing my manicure did not speak any English and instead of filing my nails like I'd requested, she proceeded to cut them. I kept trying to explain and say "no". Finally, after she cut the second one, I had to physically take the clippers out of her hand. The rest of the service was just as odd. When she started polishing my nails, the polish was streaking. She kept going instead of correcting it like I'd asked. There was a fleck in the wet polish on one of my nails and when she removed it with the nippers, it left a gash. She tried to keep applying polish over the gash. I said "no, that's just wrong", which shamed her into redoing it. When that phase of the disaster was over, she put me under the dryer to dry. She then proceeded to massage my hands with cream and a hot towel while my nails were wet & under the dryer. The whole experience was awkward and awful. It's not like they were busy either, I was the only person in the entire place! The other ladies that worked there were all in the back chatting away instead of helping this woman who clearly did not have a clue as to what she was doing. I will not...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreVee was very down to earth and kind. I would recommend her 10/10. At one point while filing the old acrylic off, she got my skin with the electric tool and she still acknowledged it and apologized immediately after. I felt that it was genuine and an honest accident. The french gel acrylics I got (refill) were done beautifully. She made them as short as I wanted (which is so rare) and shaped them perfectly. I took two stars off - one, because the price was high. $45 for a refill (without the tip) is crazy for a French, even at higher end places Iāve gone. The second reason was that I didnāt feel comfortable around the owner. I complimented her shoes and she was kind, but then shortly after she came within a few inches of my chair behind me and started to rearrange the selection of colors loudly behind my head the second half of my visit. Lol.. I should have read other reviews noting the complete inconsistency in pricing for one thing, and the constant issues with some of the staff. For the record, there is no other nail salon that paints the nails and THEN files them down. I guess I got lucky that I didnāt have the most negative experience others had but itās a shame it wasnāt a more relaxing experience because Vee is such a great tech and truly very sweet. Thank you for your...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy mom goes here often but always has to ask for a specific person and now I know why. So Iām an incredible quiet and anxious person so Iām really bad at speaking up for myself I literally never do. So today I got a full acrylic set and right at the beginning when they glue the plastic nail down then cut it I wanted to say long but she didnāt give me a chance and quickly cut it short. Before they could do anything else I asked if they could actually be longer (YES this is the first time Iāve actually spoken up for myself) and the reply was āNoā and that my hands are not the right size and shape for long nails. (BTW I always get them long and no one has ever said my hands were the wrong shape, I do have small normal hands) so I sucked it up and let them do whatever. While getting them done I was cut multiple times and started bleeding and she just painted right on over the cuts. AND THEN seemed upset that I left no tip.. I was bleeding and left with nails that I did not ask for, no I will not tip you for that. Iām pretty upset just because I did speak up but was denied and apparently this happens a lot to my mom as well. So no longer going here. My advice, take your money to someone who actually wants to give you what you want and not what they think you...
