Very disappointed with Pomodorino Pizza in Perkasie. I received a gift certificate to there for Christmas last year, so we decided to drive down there tonight to use it. The food was great, the waitress was great, atmosphere was cozy, very nice all around. We go to pay and they tell us that they can't accept our gift certificate because the place is under new management and they are no longer accepting gift certificates from the previous owners. I asked if there was a sign that explained that, and the manager said yes, up at the cash register. If I'm dining in, how would I see a sign at the cash register. She then explained that there was a sign outside at the entrance to the shopping center that explained that the restaurant was under new management, but nowhere on that sign does it say that the gift certificates are no longer being accepted. The manager was rather rude, and was unwilling to do anything to try to make the situation right. We even asked if we could redeem it for less or something due to not having signage somewhere visible to people dining in, but nothing. I'm saddened because the food was so good and the waitress was so nice, but I will not be going back there because of the manager's poor customer service. The gift certificate wasn't even a...
Read moreI'm not sure where all of these good reviews are coming from, but be warned... for those who have said that their Italian pasta dishes are authentic and amazing, don't be fooled.
We decided to give Pomodorino Pizza a try after seeing the rave reviews and were highly disappointed. We ordered a chicken spaghetti carbonara and the lobster ravioli in the blush sauce.
The chicken looked barely cooked and had no seasoning. I didn't try it for fear of eating undercooked chicken, but my friend said it tasted undercooked and flavorless and we ate around it. The carbonara alfredo sauce was thin and bland, lacking any flavor of garlic or parmesan.
The lobster ravioli was ok, but drowned in the "pink cream sauce" that was poorly made and threw off the taste of the dish. I'm thinking their marinara to cream ratio is way off as it looked bright orange in coloration.
We will not be ordering from this restaurant again and hope that this review will help others in making an educated decision when looking for authentic Italian dishes.
As we didn't try their hoagies or pizzas, we cannot write an opinion on those, but regardless, we won't be returning after our...
Read moreWhile the food is mediocre, (cheese steaks are poor quality- the beef was very pale in color, and it was light on meat) pizza is meh) I've ordered from here several times because it's convenient. But the customer service has at times been poor and rude. As an example, today I called in an order for a cheese steak but wasn't informed of any specials or anything on the phone. when I arrived and was picking up my order (on a slow weekday afternoon) I saw that they offered a lunch special for a cheese steak, a soda, and fries for $1 more. I immediately asked if I could pay the difference and get the fries and drink. The server at the counter was kind, but person preparing the food (manager?) harshly told him not to give it to me at the lunch special price. Overall very dissatisfied with this place, especially since there are better pizza and cheese steak places nearby with much better customer service. (Laura's 2, chiaros, locals - to name a few). I will not be...
