Orleans Park — Attraction in Perrysburg

Perrysburg takes in a fairly large sum of money from people coming up from all over the surrounding states for the walleye and white bass runs from Lake Erie. Yet, Orleans park is not very boating friendly. The boat ramp needs to be given a steeper grade to make it easier to launch. Ignoring that, they took away a lot of boat parking closer to the water for seemingly no reason they just added more posts blocking off at least a few spaces. Now even ignoring that, the turn in off the road and the gravel road on the property is just awful. While this is really noticeable while pulling a boat, it is even terrible just driving through. So bear minimum they could fix this as it affects not only the influx of cash from visitors but also the local community just heading there for whatever reason that is not fishing you...

Great fishing and kayaking area. Nice scenic park and river. Oh, and you can wade here too. Great white bass fishing here. The people are friendly and helpful. There are kayaking rentals here, along with a boat ramp. The only drawback is that there's a lot of litter left on the banks. I noticed there's even a bike path here. It's not far from Maumee River Tackle if you need bait, tackle, or fishing advice. I drove up from Cleveland and have been back since. Highly recommended and...
