Update 6/7/2025... Charged me again after I received a confirmation of the receipt of my cancellation on the 13th of May, the response here from the manager and a text message on the 21st avknowleduing my cancellation THEY CHARGED ME 40 DOLLARS AGAIN ON THE 22 OF may.
This is complete theft, and I've reported it to the bank.
Like anyone wants to spend all their free time dealing with criminals.
They start charging you more without even communicating to you. I was transferred to this gym from my original one in North Carolina because when out of town, I would use it sometimes. They charged me the standard amount of 34.95, and then last month, I upped it to $40.00 with no consent.
I also tried to cancel and thet make you send in a certified letter which cost me 9 dollars and an hour at the post office because I don't live there and can't show up in person to cancel.
They intentionally make it hard and give you the wrong address to send the certified letter to trying to prolong the cancelation.
The post office had to help me track diwn their correct address, which took forever. I then saw un the tracking thwt they received my certified letter days ago, but I've been given no communication to let me know they've processed my cancelation.
I've had to dispute their last charge, which was the incorrect amount, and now I have to change my card due to this theft.
They don't answer their phones but will give you sparce texts with confusing vague answers.
I was a member of AF for four years and am leaving due to this criminal sketchy practice...

I got the 7 day 'free' trial membership (first red flag was no mention of a deposit online or in the welcome email but told to pay $30 once I was in person) that was June 19th. I was told after the seven days I could receive a refund or put the deposit towards a membership. For personal reasons I decided the gym wasn't a good fit, and I was not able to receive a refund until July 23rd after my THIRD in person attempt to get a refund. Excuses ranged from all day meetings, to no staff available being trained to process refunds. It boggles my mind that a 24 hour gym has not only such limited staff hours at this location, but also apparently only has one competent person trained in scrolling and clicking a button on an iPad. If I had outright gotten the membership, in the time it took to get a refund I would've paid a month of...

Clean and spacious gym with excellent trainers and questionable management. I initially wrote my review after the lack of communication that I had experienced with this gym. After transferring my membership to another branch, I tried contacting Anytime Fitness Chestnut Hill on three separate occasions as I had unexpectedly been charged again by them again. None of my emails were answered and when I called, I was quickly brushed off by the manager and told that I would be called back. I had to escalate the situation to Members Solution since I did not receive any calls or emails.
Members Solution was very prompt in assisting me and I received two emails from the owner regarding my initial review. I almost did not read the second one as the first one was extremely unpleasant but luckily, Members Solution had asked if I had received it and I was able to see that it was not similar to the first one. I...
