New China Court — Restaurant in Philadelphia

I didn't know how this place has less than 5 stars. This has been my favorite (American) Chinese food place since I moved to Chestnut Hill 13 years ago. They are fast and the food is just excellent. Prices have home up over the years, but still better than most restaurants. If I had one complaint, it's about the "shrinkflation" of the egg rolls, and MAYBE that the veggie pieces in the lo mein are too big to eat (but you can get it without). I can highly recommend the pork egg rolls, general tao chicken, sesame chicken, fried rice, Singapore noodles, shrimp toast and sweet and sour chicken/pork. I don't shop at places that only take cash, except...

I haven't sampled much of the menu, but the boneless spare ribs taste flame broiled and are exceptional. Chicken fried rice, pork fried rice, egg rolls, and beef and broccoli are satisfactory.

Overall, these guys are fast and reliable; and generally good for being a chop suey Chinese joint. Cheap menu...

To start it's freezing inside of this restaurant. They have no heat. Next the food was horrible. How to you mess up fried rice!? No flavor and mushy! Not to mention I asked for NO onions... there was onions in it. Just nasty. What a shame use to be a nice little Chinese restaurant....
