Unfortunately I can only give 2 stars and honestly im hesitant going 2. Im borderline 1. For starters the employees are not very friendly and curtious secondly they don't seem like they are very interested helping when the consumer has questions. They are very quick to give very short answers and then very quick to scurry away. Third and this one here makes the first two worse, atleast in my opinion. The prices are outrageous, not everything but I'd say 60 to 70% . One item a spin wheel for projects. It's sort of a lazy Susan if that helps. In any case was $36.99 well happened to see one later elsewhere not exactly the same but similar if anything the one I saw elsewhere was a little bit better quality. Cost was 14.99 that's over double 22.00 more to be exact. And lastly I'll and it with this while they had a lot of inventory they were missing alot of things one would think they would be carrying. So with all that said you may want to think twice. Before you decide to go here, for me it was my first time and...
Read moreMy husband & I love to window shop, especially arts & craft stores. We also enjoy supporting unique small businesses instead of huge corporations if we can help it. So when he surprised me with a road trip here, I was thrilled when I walked in the door.
Many reviews focused on the painting/canvas supplies, so they didn’t really touch on the variety of products available, but this place had it all: handmade textiles, sculpting materials, stationary, wax & unique metal seals, knitting/yarn, specialty paper, washi tape, stamps, & even educational projects, like bug catchers, stickers, card games & puzzles.
Sections were organized & labeled well so we were informed & could take our time perusing through the whole store. It was a lovely experience.
The store is also proudly dog-friendly, so feel free to bring your pup with you! 🐶
We live a little over an hour away, but we...
Read moreI just found this place today. Awesome location Chestnut Hill. I usually drive to Center City to pickup Angelus leather paints. They also carry the leather dyes too. So, this was a great find. Proper artist supplies, paper(s), canvas, drafting/drawing supplies, oil acylics, water paints. Several types of paint pens they even have Posco pens with different size tips! They carry supplies for different textile crafts too! Tye dye, printing, some knitting and leather crafts. Section of crafts to do with children. This is not like a box store. No flowers or potpourri. Great choices for expert and novices. Portfolio's and archival storage too!l Lots of supplies and then some. I can't believe I just found this place today with a web search. Also, the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. FYI : it's set back off the street between two buildings. So, you may drive...
