Claudio's Specialty Foods — Attraction in Philadelphia

I LOVE the wonderful people that work in this store!!! Drove up to the Italian Market from Myrtle Beach, South Carolina to go to a different store. We went there because the friend I went with had shopped there all her life and I had ordered Baskets for Christmas presents for a few years. THEY WERE SOOOO RUDE!! We walked out with my 80ish year old friend in tears. We went into Claudio's and the staff there took one look at my friend and were so concerned about her. We told them what had happened and they were shocked. The "Italian Love" was a warm and welcoming as any southern hospitality! They treated us like family, explained all the foods to me, a novice with the cheeses and sausages, and we felt more then welcomed, we felt like family. We ordered foods to take home and a special package to eat in the car for the drive home. I will be ordering Christmas baskets from Claudio's from here on out! This is the premier stop when visiting the Italian Market! From cured meats to fine cheeses and all the pantry items in between, there is nowhere better to go. Olives, shooters, seafood salad, pasta, olive oil, gourmet vinegars... this shop is an overload for the senses! From the cheeses, among the "have to try" are aged provolone, extra aged Beemster (a gouda beyond explanation), Moliterno al Tartufo, and Testun Occelli alla Grappa. Their pepperoni has no comparison! You will always get fast, friendly service when you visit. Parking can be a challenge. The sidewalk will set you back $51 bucks, but can't be beat for convenience when you're hauling out 5 or 6 bags...

My cousin and I visited this store for the first time today and the products they offer are of the finest quality. We had two different employees help us and unfortunately we didn’t get their names but they went out of their way to help us and they delivered excellent customer service. Thank you for a wonderful and “ old world “ shopping experience.
