Fairmount Park Ball Fields — Attraction in Philadelphia

This is the worst park to take children. Especially when there are multiple events happening at same time. Parking is atrocious, good luck btw. Even if you find a parking spot good luck crossing the street if you have to because the streets that surround the park there is total disregard and lack of care with pedestrians crossing in the cross walks. It's so bad that it almost appears as if cars are targeting those that cross the streets. True story because we almost fell victim to this very real life situation. It is too dangerous and not worth the risk of injury or life. This is sad because this should a place to enjoy the outdoors. Stay far away from here at all cost. I would give zero stars if it was an option but unfortunately Google hasn't developed this attribute yet for reviews. I hope the park...

This park is huge. A lot of areas to just relax (if you can - more on that later) and stretch out, a lot of green areas. That is the good side of it. The bad? Parking is a challenge and is mostly street parking and the side we parked on, there was a UHaul parked on the grass and several crowds/parties going on with very loud music. And as other reviewers have mentioned, the neighborhood is suspect - on 33rd street, a lot of units boarded up. Also, most people park on where the buses usually stop.
