Glen Foerd is absolutely breathtaking. It is the most stunningly elegant, yet natural, indoor/outdoor venue that is also on the water, which was exactly what we were looking for. From the beautiful historical mansion with a wrap-around porch and patio for cocktail hour, the art gallery upstairs, views of the Delaware with picturesque sailboats and greenery, to the year round standalone tent with lighting for the reception, it truly felt like it had everything. No matter rain, shine, heat, or cold, there is a solution for all weather conundrums and it will be gorgeous no matter what. We got SO MANY compliments from our guests, who had so much fun exploring the grounds, and said that it was one of the most beautiful and classy weddings they had ever been to. The bridal suite upstairs is a dream and we fell in love the second we stepped inside. The guys have an equally amazing, manly, rathskeller man cave downstairs that they had so much fun having pre ceremony drinks in. The staff is also incredible, most notably Kelly, Emma, and Alfonso. Kelly was our coordinator throughout the planning process and was very responsive and available to answer any and all questions during the year and a half we planned our wedding. Emma was our day of coordinator and she was the absolute BEST, making sure our day was seamless and fun. Alfonso was our head maitre d’ and he made sure cocktail hour and dinner went off without a hitch. Both Emma and Alfonso each hand delivered us a tray of hors d'oeuvres and made us plates for dinner. We had told ourselves that we would definitely make sure that we ate but truthfully in the whirlwind of the day, if it wasn’t for Emma and Alfonso, I’m not sure if we would have! You can also expect to attend a tasting before your wedding that will take you all the way from arrival through cocktail hour and dinner so that you can see exactly what it will be like and taste all of the delicious menu items so you can better make your own selections! The food was sooo delicious, we highly recommend the bacon wrapped short rib if it's an option. We absolutely love Glen Foerd and the staff and it was the best day of our lives! Cannot...

We had the most amazing wedding at Glen Foerd in July 2025. Despite a very rainy few weeks, our day was pitch perfect with blue skies, a light breeze and no cloud in sight! Kelly and the team were amazing to work with and were very patient and helpful in answering my millions of emails. We met with them on multiple occasions, the initial visit, the tasting event, and the final walkthrough. The food (catering by Jamie Hollander) was absolutely fantastic and guests still rave about how good it tasted. There are a few added costs that were not expected, like the alcoholic signature drink fees and the extra hour costs to have access to the venue before 3pm and to extend the reception to 11pm (versus 10). The venue does not provide alcohol so that felt like an added cost on top of what was already a high plate per head cost. However, the venue did not charge to help set up decor items and the team was very accommodating in general, making sure that our every desires were met. They even packed up our cake and leftovers for us to enjoy the next day! I was so nervous throughout the wedding so the leftovers were actually the only food I got to taste lol. The venue location along the Delaware river was breathtaking. We even got a few sail boats pass by during our ceremony which was incredibly lucky. If you are looking for that Nantucket/Cape Cod/Southern charm,...

This wedding venue is beautiful (although a little run-down in some places). Unfortunately, I am giving this venue one star because of their lack of professionalism and courtesy.

I inquired about hosting our wedding here and scheduled a tour for my mother to attend on mine and my fiances behalf (we live in a different state). My mom drove 45 minutes to the venue and spent an hour touring and taking photos.

After the tour, I received a follow-up email from the venue asking if I was interested in moving forward. I indicated that I was and expressed my interest in a specific 2026 dat. Unfortunately, I never heard back. I was completely ghosted by the venue.

Glen Foerd has disputed and had my review removed on another site, further indicating their lack of accountability and professionalism. If they had another couple interested in that date, I would have at least expected a response after my mother took hours out of her day to do a site tour.

I’m disappointed that this venue wasted mine and especially my mom’s time. Perhaps they were waiting for a couple who wanted to spend more money to come along. Either way, I...
