Planet Fitness — Attraction in Philadelphia

Overall I have a more pleasant experience here but one staff in particular has been very rude towards myself, staff and other members of the gym. Her name is Joyce Buyers she’s an older individual so in most instances I feel the need to respect her but she’s not respectful towards others. While working out one near the window I had my things sitting on top on the window ceil and she decided to come over interrupting my work to clean around me. Now the gym is pretty big so I’m not understanding why she come and decided to clean and start spraying disinfectant right over my face and my things when there is other places or other things she could’ve been cleaning at that time. I also accidentally left personal stuff behind and called to ask if there was anyone that had turned it in. She was very nasty to me on the phone when I wanted to know if my stuff was still there she told me she was working alone and that there was no manager there to assist her. I came back to the gym and asked the young man for help and he was able to help me and in less than 30 seconds my items was returned to be because they were turned into the front desk. This was a question I had asked the woman Joyce Buyers and she gave a horrible response as tho she didn’t want to help me. I’m not sure why it was so hard for her to look around the front desk for my things like I asked her but she didn’t help not one bit. She’s not apart of what planet fitness has set their employee goals to be. Her customer service is horrible and the way she speaks to other members and staff had been terrible. I’ve witnessed how she talks to the young man that works with her in the mornings and he’s the reason why I enjoy my experience there he’s very helpful and friendly I look forward to seeing him. Yesterday was my first time at a Planet Fitness EVER! and I must say the staff here at the Planet Fitness located at 2800 Fox St, Philadelphia, PA represented the company to the highest of standards. When I arrived at the front desk I was immediately greeted by Tadita, her customer service is exceptional as she greeting all that arrived with a smile. Although I came in with the intention of joining I didn't have the app downloaded or none of my bank information ready. The process was slow on my behalf as my WiFi was acting up while taking the time to look up my bank information. When I asked for assistance Tadita was very helpful in explaining to me how to download the app. She was very understanding and patient with me treating me as if I was a VIP client. After I completed my new membership Tadita explained everything about my membership as well as took me on a brief tour of the gym. Afterwards I felt like I been a long time member because she explained everything very well to me. I have to mention this gym is extremely clean, sanitized and well maintained. I’ve visited a few PF gyms and this one is by far the best, its my home gym. Staff is phenomenal. Tee, that woman is a superstar. She goes above and beyond for all her members and treats everyone like family she knows everyone by name and remembers your routine your likes and dislikes. Love her! All of the staff are amazing, they all greet you and make you feel welcomed always acknowledge you and wishes you a great day when you leave. They have some of the best customer service I’ve seen in Philly. The gym itself is always squeaky clean. If a machine is down (unusual) it’s quickly repaired and there are signs letting you know the machine is temporarily unavailable. All of the equipment is thoroughly cleaned checked and maintained daily. The space itself is big. Even when the gym is “crowded” you always have plenty of room. Locker rooms are kept sparkly clean sanitized deodorized and well maintained. The members are great. Everyone I’ve ever interacted with is helpful and has a positive attitude.
