Roosevelt Playground — Attraction in Philadelphia

Loved this Park as a young girl in the neighborhood. Would go with my older brothers & younger sisters. It was our all day weekday place during the summer. Weekends was for visiting relatives. We loved it there. We moved when I was 9 to western PA. Loved it there too. Memories we still share along with stories about the neighborhood stores for treats & penny candies. Would love to check out the bakery that is in the park...

Use to be a nice place to hang and play when i was young now its bad went there with my kids and left in minutes as other kids where acting like bulleys and the mouths I heard on 8 year old kids with no parents around. Plus around the outside of the park as we walked in and out to car seen alot of empty drug bags and bottels laying around so not a spot to take young kids that are not bullies or drug...

We live up the block and really enjoy the new look and feel to the playground after its remodel. Tons of kids playing Basketball, climbing the all the climbing bars, the water sputters etc. A d its clean.
