I DO WANT TO SAY, I DON'T WANT TO GIVE IT ANY STARS. I'm so disappointed with the Arizona State Fair 2022.... Very SAD! Everything you want to do you have to PURCHASE A TICKET. You can't enjoy the rides, or food after 6pm.... without paying full price... Thursdays Wristband day, $50! Wow, how is a family of 4, really able to enjoy themselves. You can only purchase until 6pm, then you can only ride til 8:30pm........Working Arizona family can't get out early from school and work, to be able to come to the fair. Then on Fridays, Foodie Fridays, $3 for some foods....... WHAT A JOKE! again only til 6pm... ONCE AGAIN! , WHAT Arizona family can afford to have kids get out of school and work early just to go to the ARIZONA STATE FAIR...... COME ON, give us a fricken break. This used to be a fun place to come, not any more. The facilities are horrible...... OLD, LOOK UGLY, NASTY.....The restrooms, are nasty, need to be updated. There is nothing BRIGHT, it looks like a 1960's movie, dingy, old musty and sad! YOU CAN TAKE IT AWAY, RELOCATE IT ANYWHERE ELSE, its not like it used to be. I didn't add any photos, to embarrassed to show others how lame and old are Arizona...

I do NOT recommend the location for any occasion. We were left outside in the hot dangerous sun with a heat index of 110 for over a half an hour with no shade, no water to purchase and they made us dump our water out before entering the ramp. There were elderly and newborns waiting along with hundreds of people creating a hazardous situation while the staff and officers waiting indoors in the ac just watching. I called and spoke with Kirsten and was told they were cleaning. She did not allow us to enter even after I made her aware of the dangers. They allowed the people who were with wheelchairs and canes to enter 2 minutes before the rest of us. Please DO NOT use this place for high school graduations. They do not consider basic human needs and lack compassion. High school graduations happen at the end of May, choose and reasonable place for us to celebrate such a special day in...

We are here for the Veteran's StandDown..and the efficiency is great. As soon as the doors are opened, they have a fast-paced and well organized line to get in, grab breakfast and coffee, get a ticket, and be seated. The number of volunteers and companies is vast and they are all friendly and wonderful!! Just being here I feel the compassion for Veterans when it's lacked in most areas nowadays and it brings awareness and people together for a common cause. This is also the fairgrounds so wonderful place for families and children during fair season, but come volunteer and support our Vets every year near the end of January. Thank you for all who help out. Its appreciated ..and THANK YOU VETERANS! WE LOVE...

This place is an absolute dump. It opened in 1965 and doesn't seem to have been renovated (or deep cleaned) since. The seats are scratchy, dilapidated and uncomfortable. Half the bathroom stalls are out of order. We've attended cheer and spirit competitions there for the last decade and it's worse every year. In 2023 they charged - IN CASH - for parking at AIA state spirit championships - I'm not sure why. That's on top of the $15 e-ticket with a mandatory service charge. The parking lot is falling apart and there's no visible security. The surrounding neighborhood is sketchy as well. Whoever runs these events should find a better, safer, cleaner venue. This photo says it all...

Went to watch high school championship game. This facility has seen it’s day. The overall appearance is a dilapidated venue; seating is ripped and restrooms needed an overhaul, overall a dingy experience. I understand the need for a centralized venue for this type of an event but was disappointed in the choice. The basketball court was placed awkwardly with huge gaps at each end of each basket and from a spectator view appeared unappealing. I can only imagine how the players view might have impacted their focus. The building itself does not appear to have had an update since the Phoenix Suns called this home in the early 90’s.
