I thought it was the perfect place for my wedding. Signed a contract, started planning trying to save money by bringing food from outside. Food and drinks are crazy expensive if you purchase at the ranch so I did. For drinks I didn’t worry since I had come to an agreement with owner (Alejandro Corona) that it was okay to bring ice tea and lemonade individual packages to leave on each table as guest desires. Everything seemed great until Alejandro Corona called my fiancé at that moment to tell him that if we don’t by drinks with them, they will not provide drinking water. This happened the night before my wedding. This man couldn’t ruin my day anymore. The morning of my wedding my fiancé hand to go pay 2,000 for 3 gallons of aguas frescas, the worse Jamaica I ever had. This owner didn’t only put so much stress on our shoulder for last minute, he served for our guest artificial “aguas frescas”.
Denying drinking water in Arizona? nowhere else, only here at Corona Ranch.
Honestly it’s very upsetting and dessapointing. This people take advantage of the moment, they know how vulnerable we (fiancé and I) were. I recommend to please make written contract of every agreement you make with Alejandro Corona if you do decide to celebrate your events Here. Otherwise you will just become one...
Read moreI attended a private event at night that included dinner and a show.
My first impression when arriving was how large the parking lot is, and the unassuming exterior.
Immediately upon walking into the venue, staff offered trays of margaritas and Coronas, a great first impression for the crowd I was with.
The venue opens to an expansive area, for our group there was seating and food stations scattered. It was beautifully decorated, the lawn well manicured, and even had a station of homemade tortillas in the center of everything. Impressive! Lighting at food stations could have been improved so I could see what was offered, I almost missed the guacamole!
Staff were very friendly and accommodating.
The show is the reason for my "it's okay" rating. I'm not opposed to shows with live animals, but was really uncomfortable with audience participation in wrangling, and tackling a calf. Three grown men chased and tackled a calf, who ended up limping back out of the arena.
Additionally, arena seating needed some updates, and maybe better accessible. Some of the elderly in my group had trouble accessing the seating.
One more note: it's family owned and operated...
