As of late, I have very disappointed in The Henry on Camelback and True Foods at the Biltmore. The service has been terrible. In December, I had made a reservation for lunch. Once we arrived at The Henry, we had to wait 20 minutes to be seated. From there it only got worse. We waited 1 and 1/2 hrs. For our lunch. We were told they weren’t expecting so many people. Really? The Henry is always full of people. I decided to give The Henry another try in January. I took two out of town guests there for a Sunday brunch. Again, I had made a reservation. Once we arrived, we had to wait over 30 minutes for our table. The Henry use to always be my go to place for lunch. From now on I will be eating lunch at Hillstone. Hillstone is a very well run restaurant. I have never had a problem with service or reservations. Tonight I took my family to True Food the Biltmore. We didn’t have a reservation and were prepared to wait. We waited over 39 minutes for them to clear a table for us and over 20 minutes before anyone took our order. The service was horrible. I blame the problem on the managers in both cases. They didn’t to notice the problems all of the diners were having getting waited on, etc. It is time for Fox Concepts to step in and retrain their staff. Many people I have spoken to will no longer be eating at either places because of the...
Read moreI once enjoyed lunch at North--it was busy and a bit noisy, but the pizza was good. Today when I stopped the noise level was truly unbearable--the hostess suggested I go to the "dining room" area and she escorted me there. It was less noisy but as it began to fill up, people trying to speak to one another had to shout to be heard which only added to the unpleasant atmosphere. Then someone decided what we needed was "music"--well mainly it was just a thumping bass in the background.
By the time my lunch arrived, I could stand it no longer and though it was a very hot day, I asked if I might eat outside.
The staff were all very nice--and apologized profusely for the racket--I replied that I knew this was by design and not their doing. The pizza was only so-so.
I understand there is a train (wreck?) of thought that says noisy is the way to go in restaurants now---I have no idea where that insanity originated but it is getting more difficult except in the finest dining establishments, to find anything resembling a pleasant sound level.

Read moreWorking for this group would probably be fine - unless you work at the flower child on 90th and shea. Sue chef Chris is one of the most vindictive unforgiving and not understanding bosses I have ever endured. Not only did I get into a serious car accident and have my child’s father relapse on drugs all the while trying to find someone in the family to watch my daughter. Chef baeza decided to sit me down for a meeting because I lost our company 20 dollars worth of merchandise (broccoli) while also stating that I was wrongfully late (even though it was pouring down raining and I could not call him while driving). Chef baeza also yelled on the line while cooking , “yeah money” which I heard several consumers complain about. Another thing to mention is that fact that while my sue chef baeza was sitting with me talking annoy my loss as far as company money went- I was not clocked in....
