⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Governor Hunt’s Tomb Governor Hunt’s Tomb is a hidden gem with incredible views and fascinating history. This unique white pyramid, set against the Arizona desert landscape, is both impressive and serene. Located at Papago Park, the tomb offers a quiet place to reflect while learning about Arizona’s first governor, George W.P. Hunt, and his contributions to the state. The site is well-maintained and provides a beautiful vantage point for sunsets and panoramic views of Phoenix. It’s a must-visit for history buffs or anyone looking for a memorable spot in the area. Highly recommend taking the short hike up to experience this Arizona landmark!

It’s a good thing that the terrain doesn’t necessitate the need for a trail, because if there’s an established trail somewhere, good luck finding it. Otherwise the structure and the surrounding landing are well kept and tastefully designed. In all my years as an Arizonan I’ve never visited the tomb, nor seen this particular view of Papago Park and Camelback Mountain in the distance. If you’re looking to avoid the “hole in the rock” crowds, this provides a more relaxing experience with better views of the Valley.
