My dad has been using Poolside of AZ for some time, and has been happy with their service. When I finally got a house with a pool of my own, I took his advice and called these guys. First things first, I wanted a fresh start. Had the pool and spa drained and acid washed. Painless. Next, I had a couple of the valves in the system replaced as they were seized.
Admittedly, I knew nothing of how to operate the complicated maze of valves (spa, water feature, pool sweep, etc) so I asked the gentleman to give me a run down. My man Steve F took his time to show me how everything worked, and was very patient with me. I’ve never owned a pool before so I was super unfamiliar with the equipment and how to operate it. I told him that my intention was to learn and eventually do this maintenance myself, as in cutting out their weekly service to do my own chems and cleaning. No matter, he still took his time to make me feel comfortable operating everything on my own. He knew his stuff and it was really nice of him to take so much time with me to answer all my questions. Top notch service.
Finally, I had the 25 year old propane spa heater replaced. Steve F came back to install it. Everything looked great, but he couldn’t test it until I had my propane tank tested and filled (it was old). I ended up having to get the tank replaced as well (AZ Propane, also great). When it was time to have the heater fired up, a different Steve came to assist. My man Steve K came out to fire up the heater. After he got it working, he stuck around to show me how to operate it. This guy went above and beyond. He could tell I was still slightly confused about which valves to turn to get the spa going (apparently it wasn’t built in a user friendly way), so he took a photo of the whole valve system and then texted me an edited photo with notes on it, step by step which valves to turn to get my hot tub on. He also labeled all the pipes and valves so I knew what was what. What a guy! This is why you hire Poolside.
To sum it up, I’ve interacted with a handful of the guys from Poolside and they’ve all been terrific. Super responsive, super patient, and just great people. I’ve been using their weekly service until I get the hang of it, and they send a pic of your clean pool to your email after every service. They’ve also responded very timely to my concerns via email. Can’t say enough about this company. I’m extremely pleased with the quality of work, and the customer service is truly...
Read moreWe cannot say enough good things about Poolside of Arizona and the services they provide. The staff is knowledgeable, incredibly responsive to questions, and the prices are very reasonable.
We first contacted the company regarding a broken ball valve that was leaking and needed to be replaced. The response time was amazing, and we were very pleased with the results.
So much so that we contacted the company again when our out-of-date pool pump finally quit working to have it replaced. Again, Saro was fast to respond and provided his suggestions on the best fit for our pool size. The purchase and install was completed within days of first reaching out to him, leaving our pool in great shape and resulting in zero downtime for use.
Again, based on the great customer service and quick completion time, we contacted the company to have the sand in our filter replaced. Another quick turn around for having the job completed, and the staff was friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable about the work to be done.
Without hesitation, we would recommend this company to anyone looking for a pool service company that provides amazing results at great prices. They take the time to listen to your pool needs/concerns, and go the extra mile to make sure things are done right. It has been such a relief to have found an honest and reputable company that we can contact with any questions or concerns about our pool, and know that we will get solid results at...
Read moreThese guys are the worst. I’m not sure if they don’t know what they’re doing or they just don’t care. They take NO pride in their work. They say they’ve serviced your pool but the hot tub & filter are filthy later that same day? They tell you the only way to get your pool “balanced” is to drain it & start over. A month later the walls are covered with algae, and the calcium scum line is the worst it has ever been (even though I paid extra for a so called product that would clean it). I returned home from a long business trip just days after he was scheduled to service the pool. The algae spots were worse & the water level was down 4 inches. How do you not fix that. It their job after all. It was definitely the last straw. I looked at my original picture of how all the levers were supposed to be & he had moved them all backwards & wrong side up. I took a sample of water to the pool supply place for testing. Every chemical that can be controlled was completely off. There was NOT a drop of chlorine, NO Cyanuric acid (Which should have been added when the new water went in), the PH was all over the place & the phosphates were off the chart. Do not let these people near your pool. They give the...
