QDI Surfaces Porcelain Tile & Stone — Attraction in Phoenix

Wow I was totally blown away.. I used to work for a small landscaping company and used to buy here 6 years ago when it was just the owners selling well I went in today now working for myself and my own landscaping company I needed a small amount of travertine coping and a 3 piece combo only to be told that they wouldn't sell it to me!! I couldn't believe it I've been doing landscaping for 18 years and I've never in my life been told I can't buy something from a company.. I was told that if I didn't show them my business license the wouldn't sell me anything.. I was absolutely shocked what a horrible buisness I needed 100 sq ft of travertine pavers.. I will stick to marvel in the future. That's where I've bought before, and that's where I will continue to buy.. I only spend about 60 70 thousand a year there. I get its not a lot, but I just can't believe a buisness would turn away 70k worth of buisness a year. Obviously there too good for small buisness and or any non contractor.. I will make sure that no product I buy in the future will ever come from QDI.. Hands down the worst experience I've ever had.. I almost felt discriminated against. I certainly hope I never have to feel that way again.. I would suggest not buying from someone who treats small buisness owners or anyone for that matter this way.. I shouldn't have to show a buisness license to buy 100sq ft of stone.....

If you want to be yelled at and sold a product that looks nothing like what they have on the floor and samples then shop here. Absolute worst customer service. While we know natural stone has variation in color we ordered silver travertine and got delivered literally no silver, looked nothing like what the put on the floor. It was dark dark brown. Then my contractor goes In to try and replace the dark brown pieces and they had the nerve to straight up yell at him, even got in his face and the manager and everyone on the floor had nothing to say about it, basically told him to deal with it and use the brown pieces. All this of course after we ordered tile from them and was told it would be in very soon and it took a month to get in and they tried to push it back even more but I complained and suddenly they were able to get it quicker. In a world where we can be anything we should be kind, especially when we are spending 10s of thousands of dollars at your store....

My pool builder purchases and installed their Travertine pavers as a border around my pool 18 months ago. The Travertine is failing. The filler is coming out. There are holes all the way through the pavers and it is scaling. Mike Demore a representative of the company visited the site and acknowledged the stone was defective.
