Yesterdays Antiques — Attraction in Pigeon Forge

This shop was cute. Maybe a little unrealistic in pricing but they had a lot of nice stuff and it was clean and organized. The one star is because the woman behind the counter was absolutely so rude. Every attempt at polite conversation was met with some weird snotty comment and it wasn’t just once it was multiple times. I’m not someone who has to be super careful with my spending. I could have bought several nice things from there. I didn’t say anything to her about her rudeness. I just went on my way and I stopped at several other antique shops where I bought several things. So, I’m not sure if she was being judge mental because I had children with me and I was in sweat pants lol or if she was simply having a bad day but that’s not really my problem. You should be polite to everyone because at the end of the day I’ll just take my money elsewhere and I’d assume this isn’t a one time issue with this woman as she just had one of those personalities where you can tell she is frequently unpleasant. I went into the store as I was buying a lot of antiques today and the store looked quite nice from the outside. I walked in and there was an older woman windexing and cleaning. I kindly asked are you open and she rudely looked around and then at me as if I asked her the most insulting question and rudely responded uhhhhh yesssssss! I walked right out as I didn’t feel welcomed at all! What happened to southern charm? Or at least what happened to common courtesy and treating your patrons...

My husband and I travel to Tennessee often and have passed by this shop many times. We decided to go in during our last trip and were very pleasantly taken in by the carefully curated selection of antiques and collectibles. We left with a small purchase. It was a Pyrex snowflake garland divided casserole dish. The price was on target. We left with a sweet reminder of our time in Pigeon Forge.
