Phantom of the Attic Comics — Attraction in Pittsburgh

If you visit Pittsburgh or you're a life-long yinzer; you must visit Phantom of the Attic Comics. I have been a customer for over 20 years. I've been to a lot of stores and I rate POTA as my favorite. First and foremost is the customer service; very knowledgeable and active community members. The crew will welcome you to the store and provide any assistance needed. The store is clean and open. The stock is also impressive. All new and recent comics are displayed in a logical easy to find location. Amazing wall of graphic novels, manga, international, and local books as well. Back issues stock is limited to popular titles from the Silver age to current; prices well below guide. Bargain bin is a great stop to fill the gaps in your collection to pick up something worth reading at $1.00. You can also find other items such as Toon Tumbles, statues, and apparel. A veritable comic-book lover's dream, filled with every kind of comic-book you could want, both new issues and back issues, every genre and publisher and perhaps the greatest trade and hardcover collection of comic book and comic strip graphic novels and collections I have ever seen! In addition they have various other offerings - manga, books and comics for younger readers, collectible figures, statuettes, pins, glassware and toys. The staff is highly experienced, with a staggering wealth of comic knowledge, carefully considered recommendations and opinions, and couldn't be any friendlier or down-to-earth. Phantom is hands down the best comic shop in Pittsburgh. The customer service is beyond stellar, and the staff knows their stuff and their customers. I've been shopping here since 2005, and this was the first shop I ever felt truly welcomed to as a woman.

They don't have a ton of back issues, but they do have some. They have a HUGE selection of trade paperbacks, collector's edition hardcovers, and indie comics, including some manga. They will special order books and even supplies.
