Historic Cathedral for the Roman Catholic Dioceses of Pittsburgh. Very picturesque inside & out. Very talented organist. Mass is attended by the local academic community & surrounding neighborhoods. There is also a lively young adult community. Confession is great on the weekends especially. Low lines, understanding & thoughtful Priests. The Cathedral has wheelchair access & parking. Limited parking lot on site. Streets are available for parking. Sunday you can park for free & weekdays after 6PM. Sometimes the Oakland Catholic girls High school lot is available for parking during special occasions. (not all the time) There are restrooms with diaper stations (open only During services) There is a water cooler. During summer there is air conditioning. Note there is a standard fare of panhandlers...

Holy Cathedral of the dioceses of Pittsburgh. This is an engineering marvel for churches in America "they don't build 'em like they use to" the beautiful stone work that surrounds the whole facade of the church must be carefully and intently studied as there are many stone statues and many other marvels to wonder at. The inside will simply take your breath away. With 2 Beautiful side altars on each side with an immensely Beautiful high alter in the middle. The new alter in front is nice as well. The Beautiful architecture of the church speaks to the rich traditional history of the Catholic faith, which can be seen by observing the stain glass windows that start with the story of Adam and Eve and end with Catholicism arriving in the America's. This is a must see for any Catholic who's...

Wonderful weekday noon mass - great way to receive Holy Eucharist without the potential "crowds" of a weekend mass (although even Sunday, Dec 20 was comfortably low in attendance) - I would like to see attendees maintaining the 6ft spacing guidelines when going up the aisle to receive communion, but otherwise very safe distancing and full mask compliance by all. Priest and readers did a wonderful job... and it's just so nice to attend in person!! Our new baby granddaughter was baptized there on 12/20, and we couldn't have been happier with the arrangements! A wonderful parish with lots of volunteers to pitch in to sanitize the pews after each mass....
