I ordered salmon crepe for dine in and had an allergy attack due to buckwheat, which was not listed on the menu anywhere. When I inquired the waiter, he rolled his eyes at me and said yes there is buckwheat in the flour and I should have told them about my allergy when I order. I questioned him about buckwheat not listed on the menu, however he was being very aggressive and said “do you need us to call 911 for you?”, which was extremely rude and disrespectful. When I asked if they can change to something that does not have buckwheat in it, he rolled his eyes and said no, then walked away. At the meantime, I was having allergic reactions and was not breathing well. The waitress came and inquired about my allergy multiple times, and she offered me waffles and a refund. She also apologized for the waiter’s rudeness and said she would talk to him about it. The overall experience was awful, and I don’t deserved to be insulted by the waiter like this under any circumstances. Especially when they did not list ingredients on the menu and blamed me for not asking. The waiter kept saying that all crepes restaurants have buckwheat flour, but I have never been to any that use buckwheat. Terrible experience. I threw up and was sick for the whole day after this incident.

My son and daughter took me out for lunch on Mother’s Day to Crêpes Parisienne. The food was good, but the day was marred a little bit by the waitresses attitude. We ordered 2 crêpes and 1 panini to share. The one crêpe had chives in it. My adult children and I do not like chives and were surprised to see them inside of the crêpe. It was not mentioned on the menu that there would be chives in it. When the waitress was questioned about that she was very snarky and replied that everything in the crêpes is not listed in the menu, and that’s just how it is. My son said he just wouldn’t eat it, and my daughter proceeded to start picking out the chives. The waitress inquired as to whether we were allergic to them several times. We replied that we just do not care for them and would have asked for them not to be in there if the menu had mentioned that they were in there. In the end, my daughter told her that her that she and I would scrape off the chives and eat the crêpe. The waitress had a bad attitude about all of it. Not pictured is the black forest, sweet crêpe, which was delicious. The Panini was the favorite for the three of us.

The savory crepes served with salad make for a delightful, hearty, clean, balanced, breakfast/lunch. I always get their mix vegetable crepe, my partner enjoyed his breakfast crepe as well. For dessert, I found their French dark chocolate waffle to be wonderfully balanced, a little crunchy, not too sweet, and the walnuts just take it over the top. I also loved that the portion size of this tasty treat was one waffle. The lady who took our order was incredibly sweet. We were a little confused about a couple of things and she was patient. She also timed our dessert waffle right when we were done with our savory crepes. The man who makes the crepes also gives off the warmest vibes. TLDR: amazing waffles, tasty savoury crepes and the best staff. Don't miss out!

This is without question my favorite place to eat in Oakland. I've been eating here for at least seven years now, probably longer, and there's not a thing on the menu that is not well prepared. Not only is the staff friendly and efficient, if you are repeat customer they remember you and happily greet you on return visits. In fact, if you come in on a semi-regular basis, like I do, they tend to remember your orders. I have walked into the restaurant and the owner sees me and waves from behind the counter saying "Hey, ham and cheese, how are you?"

My two favorite menu items are the ham and cheese crepe and the breakfast crepe, which features eggs and a hearty amount of sausage and cheese. Each crepe is served with an always fresh side of greens and a house-made dressing on the side, which is both sweet and a little tangy, but never overpowering. The hot chocolate is also velvety smooth and really hits the spot...
