I came here to get a morning coffee when I was at CMU last weekend since not much was open on campus Sunday morning. I got a banana nut loaf and a decaf latte. The loaf was good, but the latte was a little weak and there was sort of an odd gritty texture in the milk - not sure if it was the almond milk or espresso grounds. There was an unpleasant smell in the building. I think it might have been originating from somewhere outside the back entrance rather than inside, but definitely not something you want to smell in an eating place. Original review (Jan 2023) - 5 stars This is a cozy sandwich shop with a great menu. Lots of sandwich choices both meat and vegetarian, and all stuff that sounded really interesting. This also had some delicious-looking baked goods and a full coffee/tea bar. I visited for lunch and got a vegetarian muffuletta melt, one of their seasonal specials, a matcha white chocolate cookie, and a blood orange tea. The vegetarian muffuletta was essentially an olive salad melt. It was pretty oily but very tasty. Love the bread! The cookie was big and decadent - a matcha cookie with white choc chips topped with matcha frosting - I would’ve considered it complete without the frosting but the frosting was still a treat! The cookie was nice and soft with a pleasant matcha flavour. The tea was very good too. The prices are definitely fair - I found the food very filling and the quality was great. There’s lots of seating inside the shop if you want to dine in, and the place is comfortable. They pack everything to go by default, make sure to specify if you don’t need a bag.

I have never eaten here before and had just ordered lunch for my office. Everyone thought it was really good! I loved it and they made things so much easier by labeling our lunches. Thank you so much we will be ordering again!!! *update* I ordered lunch for my office again and called to ask them to label the food items as they did before, I did put peoples names in the comments and they took the extra time to label everyone's name and it was so nice and easy for us since we had such a large order! last time I got the summer sandwich and it was really good, today I got their veggie panini and its great and I also love their tomato soup!!! thank you!

Gotta say the grilled chicken pesto sandwich on wheat bread blew me away. I don't recall the exact name of the bread I subbed, but it was a really tastey rustic wheat bread with some sort of multigrain and seeds if I remember correctly. A nice large, well cooked chicken breast made it feel like a meal rather than some skimpy snack I would get at Eat n' Park or other fast food joints. And the VEGAN cream of mushroom soup was even better if you can believe it... Definitely made the meal for me... never thought a vegan soup could be so creamy! Large chunks of succulent mushroom morsels gave one a comforting homemade feel, without being overly heavy like real cream. I would eat that soup every day if they had it. Delicious, filling, and overall satisfying. (I would probably order the beyond meat options too if they were made with a more substantial sized pattie. I love eating veggie from time to time but it tends to be less filling than real meat options). I might have ordered a baked good too if there were more gluten free options (and if they had a price listed on them... it was nowhere to be found). However, the unsweetened hibiscus tea was just right, and I will likely be back here for lunch or an early dinner.

Although I haven't tried much else, the first impression made a big impact. They even let me pick my sandwich up 5 minutes after close, and add a soup too. Judging by the buff couple who was hanging out and having a low key conversation about the menu when I got there, it would seem the owners' are genuinely concerned about both their health and their business ;)

10 out of 10 stars for being uniquely delicious (and somehow still...

Relaxing, trendy atmosphere with A+ food (breakfast burritos), and great service (fast). Definitely a place to visit for a nice, quick meal near Pitt.

Still a nice cafe to visit, however, my last two visits have been subpar, unfortunately. I went in for my normal breakfast burrito about a month ago and it was missing ingredients. Given the fact that it was only a bacon, egg, and cheese burrito, I gave the restaurant a call. A sweet lady named Mary picked up and apologized. She then offered me a burrito on the house the next time I come in. I said thank you and visited again yesterday. The owner, I believe, was there and after telling her the situation, she kindly instructed the kitchen to make me a bacon, egg, and cheese burrito on the house.

I unwrapped it, and while large, it was mostly tortilla. The burrito was missing both bacon crumbles and the chipotle mayo sauce that is included. I am sad to be disappointed once again as this was one of my favorite small...
