Beware. The woman manager/cook is very rude. I traveled over 45 minutes from my home to order from this restaurant because I read such great things about it in the Dallas News. The young guy (a nice person, btw) at the cash register accidentally gave my order to another customer after I had waited for my food for 50 minutes.

Mistakes happen, but I was disappointed because I had paid for the meal in advance and I had waited a while for them to prepare the order. After I asked what happened to my order, the manager came to the front desk with an attitude. She said in a defensive tone, "Obviously we are busy." Then, she asked me if I wanted my money back. I said yes, and then she proceeded to get upset again because she didn't like my disappointed facial expression. She told me that she was trying to be nice to me by offering a refund.

I was taken aback. How was she doing me a favor, especially considering that I had paid in advance for a service that was not rendered?? Also, any person in a democracy has the right to do whatever they want with their body, including making a disappointed facial expression. After approving the refund, she did not even let me know if I would still receive the food.

I had to communicate with the teenage girl to finally get my order. In fact, the teenagers working in the restaurant (including the cashier) were much more mature than the manager/cook. I made a point of thanking both young people for their professionalism before leaving the restaurant.

There are wonderful Mediterranean restaurant managers in the metroplex that are much more deserving of business. You should not operate a business, if you do not appreciate nor respect customers enough to admit when your establishment has...

My husband and I have been going to Pita Town since it first opened during the early days of the pandemic. We love the food, we love the Jerusalem-vibe of the restaurant, and we adore the owners. I think I remember one of the owners said she started by selling food at the Dallas Farmer’s Market (and maybe she still does). My husband and I usually order the same thing every time, the chicken shawarma sandwich. The garlic sauce and pickle really make it special. I like to order a small side of Tzatziki sauce and add it to my sandwich. Hot water and Alwazah brand tea is available free of charge, with sage or mint leaves to add to your tea. I highly recommend adding sage leaves. I was first introduced to tea with sage by a friend to immigrated to the U.S. from the West Bank, so it feels pretty authentic. As the website says, the restaurant is open until 9 Tuesday - Friday and until noon on weekends, or until they sell out. We have visited and found that the chicken was sold out so I highly recommend calling before you go. Update: We visited again today and ordered chicken shawarma bowls with rice, lettuce, hummus, and all the vegetables except onion. You may choose two of four sauces/toppings. I ordered the tahini and tzatziki sauce and my husband ordered the tzatziki and garlic spread. Delicious and a lot of food for just $9.99. As an aside, the chicken, beef, and falafel bowls were all...

Tried this place today for the first time and it's fantastic! The food was hot and extremely fresh - you can tell by the way it tastes that it's all made fresh on the premises. Hummus, salad, sauces, bread, falafel - all fresh.

The portions were outstanding and I could only eat half of my falafel plate. Speaking of the falafel, I can honestly say it's the best falafel I've ever had from a restaurant and I've had several over the years. It was cooked to perfection - nice and crisp, not greasy or oily, and you could taste the individual ingredients in it due to its freshness.

The place was spotless and the staff was extremely friendly and my order was made very quickly and the prices are fair.

Honestly, if you are visiting this shopping center to get a sandwich from Subway, you are making a huge mistake with Pita Town right next door. You can buy a processed sandwich from Subway or you can get a fresh home made sandwich or plate from Pita Bread for about the same price. Please give this place a try! You won't be sorry and you'll be supporting a local business in...

Overall fresh, relatively healthy, and tasty. The tzatziki was super yummy, as was the hummus. Some pieces of our meat (husband and I both got the beef shawarma bowl, daughter beef wrap) had some pretty chewy almost inedible pieces. But there was plenty of meat so didn’t think that was too big of a deal. HOWEVER i did find a small piece thick glass (like mason jar thick) in my food about halfway through my meal. No photo bc I was so stunned I took it straight to the counter. It was the size of a small pebble and I actually chewed on it once before spitting it out - so glad my teeth and overall mouth was ok. They took my meal (guy at the front counter) apologized profusely and said they have no glass in their kitchen so no idea where it came from. The older gentleman (possibly owner? Idk) seemed chill and nonchalant about it. They gave me two meals to go to ā€˜make up’ for it.

EXCEPTIONAL! Despite the generic name, Pita Town delivers originality and precision. It starts with Ful medames (Arabic: ŁŁˆŁ„ Ł…ŲÆŁ…Ų³), a stew of Fava beans, that’s full of flavor yet surprisingly hard to find. It continues with a humble Greek salad that's awaken to life with herbs. The hummus, rightly tinged with garlic, is among the best this side of the Atlantic. Even the humble falafel, hot and crispy, is bursting with exotic favors of cumin and cardamom. The experience is perfected with warm and personal service by the owners and their talented children. If anything, Pita Town should move upscale, replace the paper plates and plastic cutlery with the real thing. Also, the pitas can be improved. Overall, there's much potential here!
