I have been visiting this temple for quite a few years. Always enjoyed it till it was in its old location. Now there are a few people who have 'hijacked' the processes. There are elderly folks who behave as if they own this place. I would refer them as the typical 'Aunty' and 'Uncle' who would not behave themselves but would want everyone around to obey there rules. Today when we went, there were old people doing Garba, which is great. But 'Uncle',forced out of his habit started stopping small kids to ring temple bells even when he himself was shouting while dancing :D And the 'Aunty' who always control the Aarti line, was so childish to not allow a toddler dance because he might have bumped into her. She just said- 'Hato hato yahan se'. The parents were running around their child and the poor baby just wanted to dance. It seems these Aunty and Uncle are the only rightful visitors ( to specify- Uncle is the lean guy with specs who keeps on eating prasad when he wishes and schools everyone else except himself. And Aunty should be given a Queen throne since that is what she believes she is.) To the temple committee- please ensure to treat everyone with respect and teach these privileged elderly folks to...

Read moreOver the Easter weekend, the pandit from Shri Ram Mandir, Plano, TX, conducted the wedding ceremony for my daughter. The wedding was an outdoor event. The pandit arrived over 90 minutes late, and over 250 guests had to wait outside in the hot sun. The tardiness of the pandit was very disappointing as the schedule for the event was planned meticulously with the pandit. Pandit’s tardiness inconvenienced the guests, created a lot of stress, and disrupted the wedding schedule. For anyone planning to use the services of pandits from Shri Ram Mandir with a schedule, I would advise future patrons of the mandir to plan for a backup to avoid the miserable experience we...
