Bartz Field — Attraction in Pocatello

It’s a great place for games and other isu events. Though if you’re planning to take your dog here to play, please understand it’s not a designated dog park. ISU students often have service animals that need to relief themselves and this is where they often go to do it. Granted you can let your dog off leash and it’s fine but if someone does have a dog on leash please respect their choices. It doesn’t matter if the dog is friendly or not, if you choose to have your dog off leash please respect those of us who keep our dogs on leash. If a person on leash is body blocking or protecting our dog there are reasons for it. Not only are we protecting our dog but we are also protecting yours. NOT ALL DOGS GET ALONG. It does not mean one is more mean or aggressive. There is absolutely no reason to be yelling at someone if they are asking you to keep your dog away from there’s. It doesn’t matter how friendly...

We love going to Bart's field rather it be in the winter for sledding in the spring for some games in the baseball and softball area flying kites with the kids it is perfect for that there's always a breeze and plenty of space not to mention it is a dog-friendly Park there are lots of stations for doggie bags it's nice to always see employees throughout the grounds and they're really good about stopping and asking if we need anything and promptly taking care of any needs the parking areas and grassy areas may need it is a safe and fun place to take kids...

Bartz Field is a great place to enjoy any outdoor activity that requires a large grassy area. There are steep, long hills on the South end that are great for sledding in the winter.

It's also one of only a small handful of off-leash dog areas in the town, and it's really quite a large area to enjoy. It's large enough that many different groups could have their dogs off leash, and you could still feel like the only people there.
