My husband and I just got back here for our honeymoon. Overall, it was okay, but the check-in was a nightmare.
I booked the hotel on Expedia for about $250 a few days before we left. The money came out of my account, had processed and was cleared, no issues there. But the guy in the front said my card declined. I told him that it shouldn't because I had already paid for it. He typed around on the computer and said it had declined again. He then made me call Expedia, so my husband and I sat for 15 minutes on hold in a stuffy, muggy hotel lobby with our dog who was panting because of how stuffy it was. The Expedia representative said everything was clear on their end and I should be good to go, but they would call the hotel to see what was going on. I told the guy they would call him. They called, and the man DECLINED. THE CALL. Right in front of us. I was speechless. The representative got back on the line and confirmed that was them who called but no one answered. A different agent tried again, and this time the guy at the front desk answered--probably because my husband and I were talking about "Are you serious? Did he really decline that call?" The man read back some fake numbers and tried saying there were two different cards, but the guy on the phone called him out and it sounded like he was getting frustrated with him, too. Turns out the front desk guy was TRYING to charge me about twice what I paid for. I paid the pet fee and we went on our way. Is that even legal? Charging me twice what I already paid? The hotel isn't even WORTH $250, what the hell do you mean you're trying to charge me $500?? Either that guy needs to be retrained, or he needs to be fired. The room was disgusting. Specifically the bathroom. The water from the shower smelled like actual dog pee and I felt dirtier coming out than I did going in. There were stains on the side of the tub, and the room above us PROBABLY has a dead guy in it because the water was running for the whole 3 days and the alarm clock was going off the entire time, and the cleaners clearly never went there. PLEASE check on the room above 127, because yikes. Either way, we're not coming back here. We had a good time, but it wasn't because of where we...
Read moreDO NOT STAY HERE!! If we could have left and gone to another hotel we would have even with loosing our money but everywhere in Pocatello was full. We had no hot water, had a cold shower and tub filled up with water and wouldn't drain well, we had a very dirty room, the tub had a dirty ring around it like it had been used by a very dirty person who was getting clean which I don't have an issue with if housekeeping cleans it, the microwave was dirty, the floor had not been vacuumed, the mirror and counter top in the bathroom were dirty, all of the Crome was filty like the towel rack, toilet paper holder, the silicone around the sink, tub, floor was disgusting, the nightstand was so dirty that we had to use a hand towel to put our things on, the room and the hotel smells stale and musty like mold, the corridors and halls are not clean, the paint in the room is chipped, the bathroom door had pieces out of it. If I could have given a zero I would. I asked for a number to call the manager, it's just the hotel number. I've stayed in 4 hotels this week, I should have read the reviews on this hotel. I feel I completely deserve a refund and have no way to get one. Do not stay at this hotel. I have no problem staying in older hotels, however, this one was filthy. Not worth the money or the bad night sleep. We had our do not disturb on our room and housekeeping walked in on me. It was 10:10 am we were getting our bags together. This should not have happen. I owned a cleaning business for 20 years, I was a house keeper for 4 years. I would have never accepted this type of work from...
Read moreIf I could give this place zero stars I would but I am forced to rate a minimum of 1. We had the misfortune of waiting too long to book a hotel in Pocatello and this was the only one available for this weekend. First of all, I've never walked into a hotel whose main lobby had a door with multiple deadbolts on it, gave me uncomfortable sketchy vibes right of the bat. Secondly I've never entered a lobby with so many posted signs for added charges, for odd things like taking your continental breakfast into your room and eating it in there. Those oddities aside, as we walked to our room the entire hotel smelled of like burning toast, which was odd because this was like 8 at night. We entered our room, which stunk about as bad as the hallway and were completely mortified by the cleanliness or lack there of that we found our room in! The bath tub had hair in it and 3+ years of soap scum build up around the drain. There was hair stuck on the walls in the bathroom, and the only updated item in the whole room was the tv. There were 2 queen beds in the room and half the pillows were either dirty or didn't even have pillow cases. The whole place gave off rent by the hour vibes and we left feeling really...
