Vickers Western Store & Pawn — Attraction in Pocatello

I write this review on behalf of a friend. Sunday August 9,2015 my friends went to Vickers Western Store. The lady who was working would NOT wait on them after looking at this middle aged couple dressed in their biker leathers. she called over a young man to assist them. Rolling her eyes she walked off.They said he was very nice. After the man selected a pair of work boots he asked "do you carry have any watch bands?" he directed his question to the lady behind the counter, "we don't have watch bands!" was her reply. The wife was browsing and said "here are the watch bands.Not seeing one to the liking of the gentleman he asked "do you have anymore?' The lady replied "We don't have watch bands!' Very very rudely! The wife said "yes we are looking at them":......My point, let me tell the lady behind the counter a little about that couple she wouldn't wait on.

1. They were in those leathers because they were riding a 2015 Harley Davidson Limited. A $27,000 bike.
2. That couple can ride that bike because they raised their 3 great kids. (Not the government)
3. That couple has seen more miles on the back of horse than most cowboys will ever know.(But they now chose to see the U.S.A. on 2 wheels)
4. When the gentleman isn't on that bike, he's in a cinch shirt and a cowboy hat.
5. They are the most honest people you and the Lord would ever want to meet.
6. They give more out of their pockets to charity than most people make in a year, they are avid veteran supporters.
7. That couple has donated many many hours of labor to the rodeo.
8. MOST IMPORTANTLY, he is a UNITED STATES MARINE VETERAN! he put his life on the line to give the lady behind the counter the right to treat people like dirt!

I had THE MOST HUMILIATING experience here today. I went in to purchase some Father’s Day items which cost me over $150 and as I’m leaving the beeper goes off. We can’t figure out why and I had my 5 month old son with me in his stroller. The lady at the register kept looking at my backpack, which is a diaper bag, with accusing eyes. Mind you I am a woman of color so I automatically felt I needed to prove that I wasn’t stealing. The woman asked if there was anything in my backpack that maybe set the alarm off and so I opened up every single pocket to show her. She then asked if there was anything in the stroller/car seat that could’ve set them off so I had to uncover my 5 month old baby to show her and another lady who was standing by the front door in all seriousness. I know pawn shops are on high alert of shoplifters. I actually had a security tag sticker stuck inside of my wallet that I had no clue about and a few times I would set store alarms off and of course they would look in my purse or my receipt and I was wonder why I keep setting these alarms off. I am from out of state And my mom took me to this particular store and I was looking at the jewelry for a while and then I went downstairs to meet up with my mom as we were leaving the alarm went off the lady stopped me look through my purse she said is this a new purse is this a new wallet did you buy a movie I told her no and I emptied my purse out I was very embarrassed there were several customers around she made me do it in front of everybody no discretion.
